I could pour water over a cut off and tell you but this is designed to be cut into pieces and taped together. I don't believe it should be used near water. You can get something better for pipes, but you should keep it dry or you might get mould issues.

Yes and you will probably have enough left for an internal door as well as I did.

Not sure but it's good garage much warmer. Your gonna have gaps at bottom anyway good for ventilation

Yes, one layer of bubble wrap covered on each side with foil. Mine didn’t have quite enough double sided tape so be prepared to need an extra small roll.
