Slick AND Functional
Aside from fitting perfectly in my kitchen window (without needing the spacer blocks), it not only looks great but works exceptionally well. I actually left it on overnight because it was so quiet I forgot to turn it off. Even at high speed, it's very quiet compared to other fans I've had and produces a strong airflow. It's very easy to use and switching from intake to exhaust is a great feature in a kitchen without other venting. I can't say how practical it might be in larger rooms since there are no movable fins to direct the airflow left or right, but in my modest Manhattan kitchen, I couldn't ask for anything better.

Great Product with accurate reviews
So I read extensive reviews for this product prior especially about the pitfalls of the foam blocks they include to fill any gaps if your window is too wide. I thought oh they can’t be that difficult. well they aren’t difficult to understand. They’re just STUPID. My windows are funky and even getting them in how they’re supposed to I couldn’t close the gap between the top of the window all the way so they were loose- and there’s one area that just has a perpetual gap it seems. I’m personally ok with this and taped everything to seal it. But it is poor design in that area. But in every other area so far I LOVE this fan. It’s minimal and sleek which is nice aesthetically but also nice because it will be easier to store in my one bedroom apt than a 2nd AC. It’s SO quiet compared to my little vornado floor fan even on the highest setting. And the gusts while cooling aren’t so strong to bother me while sitting in front of it. I think this will provide more than sufficient cooling for my living room. I can’t wait to try the exhaust feature the next time I grill up some steaks- I’m hoping it’ll be just the thing my apt needs from getting the living room all Smokey when I cook.

Sealing air caps.
I had read the reviews and it and decided not to buy it mostly because of the sealing issues and the squirrel type fan they use, but my wife bought it without my knowledge. So I decided how hard could it be to install ? Take my word for it, I’m not sure anybody could come up with anything more stupid as far as sealing around it. 1. Foam inserts are about 1/4” higher than the seals on the top and bottom that are factory place. 2. The edges of the fan unit are not square therefore when the butt the inserts up against the side you have a very nice bug doorway all you need is a little food for them and you can take some nice pictures. If they would just extend the factory seals on all four corners to about an 1” they would at least solve this problem. 3. If you need to place additional inserts against each other for large window you can have even more gaps for bugs, “come on in I welcome you!”. 4. If you do need to install the inserts make sure to grow an extra arm for each,,plus one to hold the unit. In the end, I bought some good two side tape and some 1” square light foam from the hardware store. This helped to finally get it sealed. Pros: 1. Seem to close a baffle when powered down, hopefully this keeps bugs out, can’t really see how well the baffle seals without dismantling it. 2. Fairly quit. 3. Quality good. 4. If you want a nice simple and quiet breeze flow it not to bad. Cons: 1. Sealing, just plan Stupid, no really stupid! 2. Exhaust power ( What I really needed it for). If I were to rate it with a score from 1-10, I’d give it a three, I would not buy this squirrel type fan for exhaust purposes, but remember my wife bought it, and I must keep my mouth shut, and my eyes from rotating to the back of my head at all times which is the true secret of a good marriage. The only reason I did not give it lower than a 3 is most of the lower reviews are always purchasing, condition, and quality issues, which I had no problems with any of these, but I wanted people to read my review.

Finally, a sleek & modern window fan
I live in Florida (so basically the surface of the sun). AC is mandatory almost every day, but… we do get a few weeks when night temperatures drop. This is my cue to turn off the AC & let Mother Nature help me save $$ If the night temps are below 70 degrees, I will pop this into my front window & let it go all night. It’s sleek & fits the window really nicely. The airflow is robust & it’s quiet. The unit is lightweight so when the temps rise, it’s not a big deal to just pop it out & store it away. Would definitely recommend this.

Worked great for a couple of weeks and then *no air*
The blocks that come with the fan are useless so, my husband cut a piece of plywood and used additional foam to create a tight installation. My complaints are not about the installation but rather the lack of durability. The fan initially had a strong air flow that worked to cool the room rather well. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that there was almost zero air flow. I thought that the setting had been changed but no amount of tinkering with the settings made the air flow increase. My husband uninstalled it and thoroughly dusted/cleaned it like the manual suggested and re-installed it. The air flow was still nil. I unplugged it and we contacted the manufacturer to start a return. Before proceeding with the return instructions, I chanced trying the fan again. It suddenly worked fine and continued to work for one week. Now, nothing will increase the air flow and we have started the return process. I don't want another fan like this because I fear that it will fail just like the first. I'd really prefer a refund but that wasn't offered.

Fantastic BUT others are right about a few things.
It works amazing, the exhaust is maybe half as strong as the regular intake. The foam things that it comes with? Trash. 100% 😭😂 Other than that, it's what you expect/hope for. Not sure why it says not to use vertically but - regardless. It looks great, works great, and you gotta find another solution to the rest of the gap in the window or tape the dumb foam lol. Also it shakes my window but that's my crappy windows fault, not the appliances, just letting you know tho so you can find something/anything to wedge between the window panes so they can't rattle against each other.

Easiest window install ever
I’m shocked that there’s so many reviews saying the install was difficult, the foam pieces fit like a glove and I’ve used this fan in two different sized windows now. Install took under ten minutes and I have no gaps. When turned off it does a great job of completely blocking any air flow. The three speeds are helpful and the high speed is quite powerful for a fan this size. Noise is also quieter than most window fans, honestly it is perfect for falling asleep. 100% worth the price.
