Bought this for my husband and it was exactly what he wanted for his jeep. Easy to install. Great brand and price point. East for one person to install, and it’s easy to flip back and secure while driving around.

I do not write reviews often, but this product needs one. I have owned 3 Wranglers, two with hardtops and one without. When I saw this product online, I thought it was too good to be true, but it's not. Straightforward install with videos online which I highly appreciate and its worked flawlessly. Even on the expressway, you do no hear the top moving around at all so the noise level is at a zero. It's a simple product, but the only one out there of its kind, so it's worth it to be to spend about 1 minute taking down the hardtop and not having to store them. if you're on the fence, do think about it, just do it.

Installed this on my elderly father's brand new JLU because I was concerned that fully removing the roof panels would be too difficult, and that he wouldn't be able to enjoy the open sky the way he wanted. (That and not wanting him to rush and slip if caught in a sudden downpour.) Watched several installation videos on YouTube, took my time, and they turned out perfectly. We use the same VHB tape at the factory where I work, and it's nigh impossible to remove so we've not bothered with any of the bolts. 12,000 miles in everything is still working perfectly, and he has no trouble opening or closing them by himself. When test driving after installation, I couldn't notice any appreciable increase in wind noise with the VHB tape-only installation method.

This product afforded me a great alternative to a pricier soft top. Removing, storing & replacing the hardtop back on my jeep (by myself) isn’t feasible for me. I don’t usually have more than one passenger and my jeep is primarily for paved road cruising, so the open top just above the front cabin works for me. It gives me the option to enjoy the open air & run the air conditioner to cool the rest of my jeep if needed, especially if my dogs are in the cargo area. I’m a retired 62 year-old female & installed the flip top by myself. The instructional video was key & easy to follow. All described & required materials were present. Be sure parts are placed exactly as described/needed before adhering them to the roof. The super adhesive makes it extremely difficult to reposition the piece once it’s in place. I recommend letting the installed top “cure” for at least 24-hrs before taking it for a test drive or exposing it to moisture/water to ensure the adhesive does its job. Overall, I love this find. Unlike an automatic sunroof and because I have to exit my jeep to manually flip open (& latch) two individual roof panels, it’s a minor inconvenience but not a dealbreaker. My front hardtop panels are handily accessible & always attached to my jeep—no need to remove and store them, and just flip them closed if it rains or when I get home. With the flip top open and the rest of the hardtop secure, I’m comfortable with parking my jeep when I need to drive to various locations throughout the day. I do have a mesh screen (another great find) in the open front cabin to help filter the sun. I would totally buy this again & highly recommend it to fam & friends.

Installation is pretty simple if you take your time. Makes the tops much more usable.

The install went fairly well. Definitely a plus to have a roof lift, or take roof off altogether for drilling and bolting process. That being said, the YouTube instructional were spot on. My freedom panels now flip up. No additional noise, no issues with rattling as they ride. TOP NOTCH PRODUCT, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So lots of issues with this product. Firstly, ZERO customer support even though I sent them three emails. Secondly, to install, you have to drill holes in your front t-tops and rear roof. Thirdly, to attach, you have to remove the rear roof to access the mounting bolts after you drill the holes. Fourthly, after you do all of that, you lose you XM radio reception because the hinges sit immediately over the roll bar housing which is where Jeep has their XM antenna. Lastly, when you flip them back and drive, it is noisier than a hurricane because the wind hits the tops and then flows over, under, and around them. It takes about 2.5 hours to install, but after I have experienced the finished product, I wouldn’t buy this again.
