These devices work great for sending a video signal from a laptop 20m to a monitor. Nice clear sharp picture at that distance.They include sending the audio, which I haven't tried yet. They have a local monitor out connection from the sender that is great for a PC or for us where we have 2 monitors connected to the laptop. It uses a standard UTP CAT 5e/6 network cable (not cross wired). There is a strange statement in the instructions about a 'cross stand' cable, but I don't know what that means. You will need a mains power socket at each end available to power the devices and VGA cables to connect to the PC and monitor if you don't have them, I use these  sourcingmap Black Blue VGA 15 Pin Male to Male Plug Computer Monitor Cable Wire Cord 4.2ft This is my second try at the device, the first one had obviously been opened previously and it did not work. I was able to get it replaced easily though.

The previous one of these I had installed for over 6 years. Since then I have had two more:One unit lasted just 6 months so, was returned after having to fight amazon who feel they are above statutiry 12 month warranties (you aren't) The latest replacement lasted just 3 weeks before packing up!!I have now given up with these units as to go from 6 years service life to 6 months & now 3 weeks tells me there is something quite wrong with the product for it to be so flimsy.
