Great
Brought 5 of these for around the house and garage where my server rack is. Connected up to my zigbee network and created some automations for alerts and lights on moisture detection in home assistant.Simple , affective and loud. Highly recommend

Basic
This leak detector is fairly basic but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I didn't have any issues with using via Zigbee and the Smartthings app.I've had a couple of small leaks in the past behind the washing machine and underneath the bath, both awkward places where the leak wasn't discovered for a while. If I'd discovered the leaks sooner not quite so much damage would have been caused. As this is so loud I've put it near the washing machine. I'm getting a different one for the bathroom that will have a few more features and be controlled a little better because the bathroom is next to my daughters bedroom, I don't want her being woken by it. I don't want to have to deal with 120 decibels in the middle of the night as my main priority should be turning the water off, so I'm going to look for one that only sounds at certain times.Back to this one, it works ok if you already have an existing Zigbee hub and want a basic leak detector.

Didn’t detect when placed in water.
The media could not be loaded. 💧 This water detector is a drop-shaped detector that is redolent of the water that it is designed to detect. The device is powered by two AAA batteries that are included in the pack. Installation is easy as the screws are thoughtfully installed slightly loose, and so removing them was easy. The slot screwdriver provided for unscrewing the bottom of the case is very small and a little inadequate, but it does work. The screws are a combination cross/slot, so they work better with that type of screwdriver.💧 The device automatically entered pairing mode when the batteries were inserted and easily paired with Home Assistant. I tested re-pairing and could not get that to work, unfortunately. I bought this device because I have Home Assistant and a place where a small leak does sometimes occur. I have replaced the plumbing but wanted peace of mind that the slowly forming puddle would not return.💧 I tested the device by placing it directly in a puddle of water, and it did not react at all. I think that the device only detects water falling on it from above, so it is more of a torrent detector than a leak detector. If you have the potential for a dripping leak from plumbing that can form a pool of water on the floor, then this detector would be totally useless in that situation.💧 On looking inside, there is scope for the screws to be used as detectors as they are connected to the circuit board via the screw as the tip. The on-line instructions and those included with the sensor mention a small metal part that looks like it attaches to the front screw for greater sensitivity, but this part was missing from the kit.💧 Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this device, which is a shame as it looked the part and paired seamlessly with my home automation. I have years of experience with automation devices, and I had to return this one for a refund as I just couldn't tolerate any doubt that it was going to work and detect a leak quickly and reliably. ❌

Works but needs modification
Connects fine to hub and trigger but only if water is deep enough as the detectors even the metal bit supplied are too far off the floor i had to bend these both down to touch the floor for better detection. The reviewer that is trying to connect this to a phone this is a ZIGBEE device not a bluetooth device maybe check what you are buying first, even though you mention its a zigbee device yourself!

Perfect connection
The media could not be loaded. The leak sensor works perfectly and connects easily to the app specified. When in contact with water the device makes a 120dB sound discontinued. The notification is prompt. Also, it shows on the app when the battery is low or full.In the package, the device comes with a small screwdriver and 2 AAA batteriesAt the time of review, the price was £21, which is a perfect price to have my house safe.I hope my pictures, video and review can help you decide.

THIRDREALITY Zigbee Water Leak Sensor,120 dB Alarm
The media could not be loaded. THIRDREALITY Zigbee Water Leak Sensor - I like that it is easy to setup and that as soon as it detects humidity or water will start beeping a 120 dB Alarm.I took down a star as I was hoping to be able to use it with the Thirdreality app to get notifications on my phone but unfortunately in order to do that you need a smart speaker or reality hub. Tried to use a Google smart speaker but it doesn't work.Otherwise the device is sturdy and it only requires two AAA batteries.

Wouldn’t connect to phone
The media could not be loaded. Ok, this did work well when water came into contact with it. Which is very handy if you have suspensions on any thing that might leak. But I tried connecting it to 3 different iPhones in the family. Not one picked it up. Reset the internal button like the instructions said, but nothing worked! So using it on its own, was horrible to try and turn the alarm noise off. There is no button to press on the outside of the water detecter device. Although I even tried experimenting on pressing and tapping the top just in case. But nothing worked to stop the alarm sounding off, until I totally undid all the screws to take the batteries out. And that takes a while to do. If this had connected to my phone and I could control it from there to reset it, then I would have given it a full star review. The instructions do mention a Zigbee hub, Never heard of it! I have an echo hub and that was horrible to set up and use. So got thrown in the draw years ago and never to see the light of day again. So many things connect directly to your phone now days easily by Bluetooth, so I was expecting this water detector to as well, but it did not. No barcode to scan in the instructions for easy connection either. I certainly don’t want to be buying an extra hub to use this device.
