Fantastic TV
I recently got my LG C4 65-inch OLED TV, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The picture quality is breathtaking—colours pop with incredible vibrancy, and the blacks are so deep that they make everything feel more immersive, especially when watching movies in a dark room. It handles fast motion brilliantly, making it perfect for sports and action-packed scenes. The sleek design also fits seamlessly into my living room. I was impressed with how intuitive the setup and menu navigation are; everything is straightforward and user-friendly. The smart features are a big plus—the webOS platform runs smoothly, and streaming apps like Netflix load quickly without hiccups. The sound is decent, although I paired it with a soundbar for an even more cinematic experience. It’s not the cheapest option on the market, but the quality justifies the price. All in all, I’d highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for top-notch visuals and a premium viewing experience!"

Great build, terrific quality, brilliant value
This is a £3,000 tv masquerading as a £1,500 one. Solid frame (55” screen) but not a heavy unit. 4 HDMI sockets (inc HDMI 2 which doubles up as your Dolby Atmos socket if you have a Sonos or equivalent external speaker set up). Arrives sensibly packaged and a very welcome thin plastic film over the screen so you can get the tv into place either wall mounted or on the attractive supplied stand without getting fingerprints on the screen ahead of switch on. I stream a lot of what I watch and on the old tv we suffered hugely from buffering, frozen screens and lagging between sound output and the visuals. After about 4 hours streaming this afternoon I have had zero interruption. This COULD just be a good day for streaming but it seems to be a remarkable coincidence. The picture quality, with it’s lightning 120 hertz refresh rate, is certainly HD quality, and this is true of streaming and from the satellite signals from my FreeSat set up. This tv declared tv of the year (or some equivalent) by WHICH? and I have to say so far they have been bang on the money. Highly recommend. Note - have now watched a second day of streaming and still no glitches or frozen screens. I’ve also noticed switching between my FreeSat box, my Apple TV Box and my Amazon Firestick is instant with zero lag and the Sonos Atmos system is just there working away seamlessly. It’s simply the best TV I’ve ever bought.

The best PC Monitor
Has to be the best PC monitor you can buy. Has all the features I was looking for (G-Sync, 144Hz) and produces absolutely stunning HDR images. Mine is paired to an MSI 4080 and a 5800X3D and gaming on this is unreal, best PC gaming experience ever for me. Returnal with DLSS set to balanced, HDR on and getting a solid 110-115fps absolutely maxed is a thing of beauty. Forza Horizon 5 is also one of the best things I've ever seen, I feel priveleged to have eyes. I've seen others saying they've had issues as a monitor but for me, out of the box, HDMI 1 set to PC, game mode and 144Hz activated and it's been perfect. I paid £530 for this on offer and it was worth every penny. I've got a 65" G3 in the same room and it's difficult to tell a difference in image quality, it's absolutely phenomenal.

Great value
Not sure why there’s reviews on brightness being too low - it’s really not. The tv has different modes and one thing I noticed is when you are playing a movie from prime video for example, it will go into ‘Film maker’ mode (I think that’s the name) which looks great. I think that setting is what the movie makers want you to watch the movie in. Even if you don’t like the setting you can switch to a different mode (expert bright or expert dark settings). Just to note: the speakers from the TV itself is loud, but I’ve paired mine with surround sound speakers. For the price I paid this is amazing, but I did get it during the prime day deals. It was easy to setup and the size + picture quality is perfect. One thing I always fault with LG is their UI, it’s not the best…but I’ve always had LG TVs and will probably stick with the brand.

No need for external android box
It is a 4.7 star, rather than 5. Still pretty good. Picture is very good, lots of settings, still finding my way around them, with the power saving mode reducing the brightness by default. Sound is great, when you first power up. As I had a Sonos soundbar, I still prefer to listen with that. There is an option to get audio from the TV speaker and the soundbar at the same time, however, there isn't a way to control the audio of TV and Soundbar together, in that case (only TV speaker can be controlled by the TV remote, so you would need to set the volume level of the soundbar and then play with the volume level of the TV to go with the level setup with the soundbar - a bit too clunky - this might be because the Sonos soundbar does not support LG sound sync). Last, but not the least, in fact it was an important feature for me, is the fact that I can run Kodi from within WebOS. However, I also found a couple of headaches there - Kodi needs to be installed via a backdoor developer mode, sending an IPK file over SSH from a pc in the same network of the TV. Also, the sound of the media which I play in the KODI under WebOS (Kodi 21Beta3) is not always in sync with the lips of the speakers in the films. There are way around that issue too, and hopefully the final version of Kodi 21 for WebOS will solve this problem, as well as the one where I cannot install more than 2-3 skins for Kodi (this is not related to the TV). Overall, I thought it was a good purchase. All smart features (iPlayer, Netflix, YouTube, Freeview, LG channels,... work better than expected) and the real plus is the embedded Kodi, which I already talked about. That is a real plus for me.

Why did I wait so long?
The C4 is amazing. The picture quality over my previous LED tv is amazing. Gaming on it is also a step up. With the VRR, auto low latency and 4K 120hz display games feel smooth and look great. The TV also supports 144hz pc mode which I haven’t tried yet as I have a separate oled monitor. To get the picture settings just right, I watched an easy to follow YouTube guide. The C4 may not be as bright as the G4 but at almost £800 more at time of purchase, ignorance is bliss. The TV also supports Apple HomeKit and allows me to turn off the TV or change input from my phone. Not amazingly useful but I’ve used it a couple of times to turn the TV off when the kids have left it on. One thing I have noticed when using the Apple TV, I can now control the volume on the TV when using my phone. Not sure if this is a coincidence of an update but I’ll add it to another growing list of why this was a good purchase. Overall, I’m really happy with this TV and even my wife has admitted the picture quality is great. This is the ultimate seal of approval for me and justifies my purchase.

An awesome option for gamers looking to eveolve from LED
Ordered this as my first OLED TV, moving on from a long line of Samsung LED TVs. Review: 42" unit Intended use is for gaming on XBOX Series X, XBOX 360 and OG XBOX. I cannot rate the smart features as I do not use it for regular TV viewing. Build quality is excellent, and the unit is very light and easy to install by yourself. I ordered the 42" unit which comes with legs on each end rather than a central stand - keep this in mind if you are placing it on a sideboard, unit or media unit. If the legs are too far apart for your unit, you will need to get a VESA stand to mount it on. The TV comes with the usual array of settings and options to allow you to set it up as you need and to calibrate as required for your source. The Game Optimiser settings available allow you to disable any unnecessary image processing so that the unit will have as little input lag or image degradation as possible. Included lag countermeasures in the GO settings also mean that input lag can be as little as 1ms, which is insane. As with all modern TVs, HDR needs to be turned on for each input source, and each HDMI input can have all the non-global image settings independently from the others, to allow for different types of input source. Each input is also full HDMI 2.1 meaning 4K/120 is supported and available on all four inputs if needed. The TV supports the full range of current gaming options: up to 4K, HDR, Variable Rate Refresh (VRR) through Freesync and G-Sync, ALLM, eARC, 120hZ refresh rate, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Also available is an optical audio out if your surround system or sound bar has that input. Picture quality is fantastic - compared to my previous LED screen, bright sources are VERY bright and now actually give off light around the room, rather than just "looking" bright. Blacks are ridiculously deep. Colours are much more vibrant and colour transitions are less banded. Now, metallic objects in game can really show off their specular highlights. Looking at the bright star on the Starfield title screen is now actually slightly uncomfortable as it is SO bright. The VRR means that games with unstable frame rates that were herky-jerky and choppy on my old Samsung LED TV now seem and feel much improved, smoother and less jarring. 30FPS-locked games are now much more tolerable. The VRR also helps reduce or remove ghosting and motion artifacting on fast-moving objects that is common on non-VRR screens, because any uneven or poor frame timing from the game can be ameliorated. The game options are excellent also, giving you much flexibility as to how exactly you want to set them up. Both VRR systems can be active at the same time. The anti-lag settings (for input lag) are optional and when at maximum will reduce any lag down to a millisecond. There is also the option to adjust the audio delay, should your video and audio appear out of synch with each other. However, the usefulness of this is not clear, as this can only be increased from zero, so if audio is already slightly lagged and follows a few ms after the video when the delay is set to zero then this cannot brought forward - you can only delay it further. I assume it would only be useful if the audio plays AHEAD of the action on-screen, but that seems unlikely. This may perhaps be more useful for TV or video content and not relevant to gaming. I cannot comment on the on-board speakers and audio as I use a surround system. I can confirm that the optical TOSLINK output works perfectly with my 20-year old optical-in Creative Inspire 5.1 system and sounds fantastic. With audio out set to 5.1 Dolby Digital I cannot hear any quality degradation or artifacting being added into the optical out feed. Also built in is a pixel cleaning option to allow you to keep your screen healthy, and to ward off any burn-in. It also offers a random pixel shift option that runs in the background at all times to keep burn-in risk at bay. I am also totally fascinated by the mouse ball on the remote control. And it's the first time I have had a remote control with motion sensing. the OS and menus are adequate, but you will get the usual "where the hell is that option" frustration until you get familiar with it as some of the layout is a bit shonky. Also provided are three USB ports and an aerial in RF socket. No compound, component or SCART inputs are available, so you will require an adapter for older consoles or devices to convert their output cables to HDMI. eARC is provided but only on the HDMI 2 input. Overall, if you are looking for a great gaming TV (or, with the 42" screen, a desktop OLED monitor for PC gaming or anything else) then this is a fantastic option at the lower price range to get access to full, modern 4K/120fps VRR gaming. The fact that all four inputs are full 4K/120 HDMI 2.1 is fantastic. You could save a little more by going for the older C2 model, but that does not offer such powerful input-lag reduction and from what I have read is not as colourful as bright as the 2023 C3).

Amazing TV
I love this TV. Some of the settings aren't great out of the box. All the fluid smoothing, 'natural movement' settings make everything look like trash. But put it in Filmmaker Mode and turn up the brightness and the picture is stunning. Decent sound quality - not amazing but I haven't felt the need to upgrade to a soundbar as yet. Good price.
