It is difficult to know whether glucosamine works for you.
If you are like me and have a problem swallowing 3 monster glucosamine pills a day, this powdered form with a slight citrusy taste diluted in about 2 to 3 ounces of water is a much less painful alternative. That said, there is also the matter of grade. According to my physiotherapist, there are many grades of glucosamine and since it is sold as a supplement, it is not regulated by the FDA. I use Viatril S because my doctor uses it. Is it of the highest grade? I have no idea, but it certainly is one of the most expensive in the market. Not much of a recommendation, but when you are grasping at straws…
