Very clean. My lighter never sputters and always lights on the first go. It's a little expensive so I tried another brand and noticed a difference right away. Newport is getting harder for me to find in cigar shops but at least there is Amazon.

The standard tip fits 90% of every lighter I've ever owned, but still has all the other tips. Always lights up, and only spits is i over fill the lighter.
