Bought this as a replacement for a more well-known brand of bike cleaner, and works well although you'll want to follow some steps with more expensive bikes because it's quite a strong degreaser. First, spray a bit on with a spray bottle, let it run off and take surface dirt with it. Rinse off the bike with cold water to take any sand and scratchy stuff away. Then put some of this cleaner in a bucket with hot water, and use a big soft brush to gently scrub down the whole bike. Swap out the bucket for warm fresh water and use the soft brush to rinse off the bike. Wipe it down with a towel or something, let it dry for a bit. Then (because this cleaner is strong) I remove or cover the brake disks apply some spray protection to the frame, rims and drive components. Then I wipe down the chain and lube it with some all-weather lube. All-in all, under ten minutes of light cleaning and that's good for regular maintenance. Try to avoid pouring water on parts like the headset or handlebars where water ingress can sit there and rust any internals. Bonus: fill a jam jar with this stuff undiluted, take off your bike chain and plonk it in the jar. Shake it for a bit and then leave it for a day. Come back to a squeaky clean chain, dry it off properly, lube it up properly and it'll be like absolute new.

I used this with a gadget containing a brush and sponge that the chain moves through. The cleaner liquid did a good job inside that gadget, leaving the chain nice and clean. Much cheaper than the liquid that the gadget manufacturer recommends!

This is ideal to clean the motorbike chain, amazing how good it works. Also, if I've been a bit careless with the lube, a bit of this on a cloth, brings the wheel rim clean. Also used it on the chainsaw, great result.

I am not prone to leaving negative reviews however this stuff, or at least the container I got, is useless. Bought it to clean motorcycle chain......it just does not work. Even spraying on plastic that has had some gear oil on it from chain spray it will not shift it at all. EVERY other cleaner I have of any type does a better job !

Tried yesterday, does what it says on the tin

I was really disappointed in this to be honest. I used it on MTB drivetrain and on motorcycle chains and it didn't seem that effective on either. I tend to use a wax based lube so maybe something to do with that but I won't be buying it again for what I need.

Just as good as paraffin at getting sticky chain lubrication of the chain and rear of a motorbike without the strong smell plus its water soluble so you can steam clean it off.
