This. Does. Work!
I got this fruit fly trap, because I was tired of looking at the trap I’d been using- Apple cider vinegar, with a little soap and water, in a wine glass. Leaving a glass of drowned bugs on my counter, isn’t a great look! I see lots of people saying this trap doesn’t work, and several of them seem to run into the same problems. First, be sure that it’s fruit flies you’re trying to trap. Fruit flies and gnats (like around your house plants) are totally different bugs, and attracted to different things. This won’t work for gnats. Also, you have to remove anything else that the fruit flies would be attracted to- putting your produce in the fridge works. You also have to wipe up anything on your counters, from the overripe fruit. Fruit flies are also attracted to light, so I leave this trap under my range hood light at night. This trap works by attracting the fruit flies in, and then they can’t find their way out. I checked the trap in the morning, and released six fruit flies! I did dissolve a drop of dish soap in a little hot water, and added it to the liquid- this reduces the surface tension, so the fruit flies will drown. You don’t have to put much liquid in the trap- only about 1/4”. There are several fills in that little bottle, and you can just fill it with apple cider vinegar when you use it up. You can use plain vinegar, without the soap and water, provided you don’t open the trap! I’m very happy with this cute little trap- it seems well made, and I’m glad that it hides what it’s doing.

Cute but a disappointment
A complete disappointment . I stuck these in a plant cabinet full of plant and I could see there was some not many gnats I had to deal with so I treated the plants and placed these in there to hopefully eliminate the adult gnats. These were set up for a while till I just broke down and ordered a katchy I believe is the name of it. But anyways all while these was in the cabinets they didn’t catch anything. The liquid would evaporate in no time flat and every time I refilled it the container would be clean with not one single freaking gnat . They are cute but not effective at all.

Best fruit fly traps I have ever bought! I now have several.
They look so much better than most fruit fly traps. They also work better than any of other ones I have tried before, including homemade, a big name brand that starts with the letter r, and one or two others. My only suggestion is to make sure you don't try to check them to quickly. Give it several days, even if your fruit fly population has gone way down. Several were clinging to the sides of the container above the liquid. They flew out. But they were gone again the next day.

It works and it's cute
We keep our litter box in the bathroom and even though we do our best to keep up with the scooping, it still attracts gnats. The liquid it comes with is pungent and reeks of ACV, so very easy to replicate once it runs out. There's probably enough in the container to do 3 rounds of it, about 1/3 full. We also used it with and without the addition of the Raid light kit which helped a ton (definitely check those out too). I like that the lid attaches securely to the base and that its subtle aesthetic blends in with our decor. If you are not having success with the product it's likely that you are not eliminating enough of what attracted them in the first place or not taking more measures to prevent them from coming inside (don't leave doors/windows open for long in the summer, get a trash can with a lid, keep your fruits/veg in the fridge, etc). These would make a nice gift for someone moving into their first apartment and certainly look much better than those dumb apple traps.

Does not work
The diffuser itself is very cute but a single fly wasn’t trapped in it!! Disappointing ☹️
