screw head stripped off so will it be able to remove remaining half part of screw which is in and flat?

As long as you can get a hole drilled that leaves enough of the screw intact for the easy-out to not just fit inside but to have enough metal to grab then it should work. Not every screw can be removed with an easy out. One example would be something cross-threaded since no amount of turning can free it then you risk breaking the easy-out making the attempt at the impossible. These types of problems require drilling out the screw/bolt and re-tapping or replacing the threaded area. In some instances the hole gets welded then re-drilled and tapped.

Does this work on broken lag screws?

i have not tried it on a broken lag screw but I would think it will work.  One end of the extractor drills a hole, then you turn it around and the other end reverse drills out the broken/stripped screw or bolt.

Question 4

In the explanatory image, it is described as "Clockwise" when initially drilling the hole, but isn't "Counterclockwise" the correct direction?

Thanks a lot for your question, I think you are right, the first step needs to be drilled counterclockwise and deep enough, the second step also needs to be counterclockwise. And the second step needs to be taken out slowly.
         If you can't grab the screw in the second step, you should choose a larger size extractor side, and you don't need to go through the drilling in the first step.
        As an Amazon seller, I also use this product myself. I currently think that the first step counterclockwise works better, but when I took out a bad screw yesterday, the first step clockwise drilled it out too. .
        I'm sad that there are so many bad reviews for this screw extractor as I've used it myself many times with success. I really sad to understand why so many bad reviews.
