Is it really necessary for an am5 cpu? No, not at all. Does it improve performance/thermals? Marginally, if at all. But it looks cool, and it keeps thermal paste from getting into the grooves of the ihs. All necessary screws included.

Beautiful fit for AM5 sockets. No worry about spillage from thermal paste. More than worth the $10 I paid for it and it was super easy to install. Definitely recommend if you’re installing the Liquid Freezer III AIO as it will prevent damage to your motherboard.

A must for AM5 builds
Used this bracket on my new 9800x3d as it looks very sturdy and I wanted a easier time applying thermal paste.Installing was super easy and it holds the CPU firmly in place. A must have for your new AM5 builds, better than the standard frame that comes with the Motherboards.
