Even though this kit is meant for special effects, I love the brushes for every day use. At first I thought some of the more unusually shaped brushes would go unused, but I have ended up using most of them for different applications. They really grab my powdered eyeshadow and help with smooth application. The brush handles are a comfortable size and weight.The black pouch is sturdy and is handy IF you fold it down halfway to expose the brushes for easy removal (see the pictures provided by seller). Until I did this, I struggled to locate and remove the desired brush.I have used different makeup brush cleansers in the past and think I still prefer the liquid cleansers over this bar of soap, but I love the silicone pad provided. Swirling my soapy brush against the textured pad definitely speeds up the cleaning process. Of course the soap bar is better for travel as it won’t trigger TSA liquid limits.

Do not pass up these brushes or the brand. I was surprised when these came up in my suggestions and after checking out the brand's store I decided to give them a try. i do a lot of cosplay and hate getting my regular makeup brushes dirty and wanted a dedicated set make to create unique looks. The brushes are well made with good handles and bristles. It comes with brushes a nice vanilla scented solid cleaner with textured mat to clean and a standup makeup bag. The kit comes witha colorful sheet that details what each brush is used for. I have not tried any looks yet but the brushes are plush and firm while gentle to the touch. Great set to add to your arsenal and a perfect gift for anyone who loves creating halloween looks and cosplay enthuesists to add to their arsenal.

I’ve been burned in the past ordering cosmetic items online, so I was pleasantly surprised when opening these. The quality is better than I expected.The brushes have been performing perfectly. They’re soft and so far holding up really well.The cleaner has a great scent that’s not overpowering. I’m sensitive to fragrances, but haven’t had any issues.The bag is well made too. The zipper works well. It’s my first time having a standing bag and I’m getting used to it, but it’s nice. I’m just not sure if I prefer this style yet because I’ve been a tad clumsy with it. I can see how it might really appeal to someone that embraces change better than I do, or someone who already uses this style.

Although this set is labeled for SFX, I decided to try for the ridiculous makeup required for my daughters competition dance team. JACKPOT. These brushes work amazing for the buildup of makeup required to get the look. I like the aroma of the cleaner bar, but is not my preference. These brushes are very well made and I expect to be able to use them for many years. They are pricey to me, but if buying for what they are intended for it may not be for a set of this quality.
