Ewbank EP170 Lightweight Floor Polisher, 6 Reusable Pads Included, Red

I bought this item because I have a kitchen floor with a slight textured finish and find it really difficult to get it really clean with an ordinary mop and trust me, I have tried every kind of mop on the market. The floor is white and never really looked clean. I tried this mop because of the scrub function, and it's the first time since the floor was put down that it has looked truly clean. The amount of effort to clean the floor was minimal, no kneeling and scrubbing, no back ache, no chemicals. So, to sum up, it has a really long cable which should be long enough for anyone who doesn't live in a bowling alley, it is quiet. It does what it says it will. It's easy to use. It's quick. It's not heavy to use, and doesn't take up much storage space. Definitely a 10/10.

We read a few mixed reviews about this polisher so were a bit worried if we had made the right decision. As usual it arrived the next day, fantastic Amazon service. We unpacked the machine and it is all nicely put together, good quality materials and well finished. The lead is very long which is handy, the handle folds to give you two options of use and also brakes down into two parts for compact storage. It is a bit smaller than I expected but that makes it easy to use and very manoeuvrable. Some comments have been that its too light to polish properly but we did not find that was a problem. We got it for our terracotta tiles which are very uneven and it worked fine so I am sure it would be OK on a more flat surface. It has two rotating heads and comes with two scrubbing brush attachments, two polish application pads and two soft polishing pads. For us (very uneven floor) the scrubbing brushes did not do much, but again may be OK on smooth floors. The other pads worked well but for larger areas you may find it useful to have a spare set as the polishing pads in particular will need washing, so to save you waiting for them to dry a spare pair would be good. The spare pads are a bit pricey, I think, so wait until you get the machine and see how you get on. The polishing pads are made from microfiber cloth and attach to the velcro discs so we are going to make our own. Overall we are really pleased with this polisher, it's compact, lightweight, and easy to use which means it will get used much more often. We were hiring one each time so about three uses and its paid for itself. The other model we considered was the Karcher, which is bigger and has three heads but it is over twice the price of this one and I don't think we would see any difference for what we need.

My husband has been asking me to find something like this for years! We have old Minton floors in our house that always seem to be very mucky. The product arrived and within minutes we had it assembled and ready to go. My husband has spent just half an hour with the scrubbing pads attached and is delighted with the results. The floor is much, much cleaner. It appears to help get out ground-in dirt from over many years. A mop just never was enough, it will also save us being on our hands and knees with scrubbing brushes. Well worth the price and a brilliant bit of kit!! Very happy and would recommend 👍

I've got wooden floors and tiled floors throughout my downstairs and was fed up trying to polish on my knees. I read all the reviews for this and decided to give it a go and i'm really pleased. Machine breaks down so it's easy to store. Was a bit 'bouncy' when I first turned it on but you soon get used to moving it correctly. I used the 'trial' polish that came with it and it brought up my porcelain tiles a treat (I used a bit too much polish so it took a bit of rubbing first !!! but that's not product fault - was mine. Use sparingly). I only polished a small area on my wooden floors as I'm decorating but the area I did do also came up lovely. The wood looked like new - could really see the grain and such a nice shine. Can't wait to do the rest of the wooden floors. I've heard that the Ewbank polish is expensive so I'm going to use the high shine floor polish that Lakeland sell which also has good reviews. Overall, happy and I think it's a good buy if you have hard floors - certainly better than polishing on your hands and knees.

As it was clearly lightweight I wasn't expecting too much of it as a scrubber and I was right; it was pretty useless even on my even, stone tiled floor. I resorted to getting down on hands and knees and scouring by hand. As a polisher though where less pressure is needed it was ok at buffing up the wax polish to a reasonable shine; certainly a lot easier than doing it by hand. The product is small and neat to easy to store away and just as easy to get out and use regularly. Not a bad buy for the money.

Am so pleased with this floor polisher. It is lightweight and very easy to use. The white scrubbing pads do their job very well on both tiled and wooden floors and then the polishing pads buff up to a very nice, non-slip shine. The floor polish and reviver (supplied) is excellent and I only had to use a tiny amount to do the job. One word of caution, the white scrubbing pads degrade fairly quickly. They only lasted long enough for me to do one large room, but my house is very old and the floors quite uneven. However very reasonably priced spares available on the internet from very helpful people at Ewbank Spares. I have been searching for a reasonably-priced polisher for quite some time and I am very pleased that I chose this one.

I purchased this to replace my Ewbank Polisher With Vacuum, which sadly broke and the vacuum model has been discontinued. In my opinion this light weight does the job, it really shines up all my wood, laminate and tiled floors. I would say it does a better buffing job and is easier to use than my previous version, It really brings up my floors to a beautiful shine, I use it without polish about twice a week, which keeps the floors looking lovely and shiny, about once a month/6 weeks, I use the polish, which gives them a wonderful shine, which it is quick and easy, and just to keep them shiny until my next polish, I just wizz around the house with the blue pads (no polish) the previous one I liked as you could buff and vacuum at the same time, but now I need to vacuum or sweep floor first, which takes a bit more time. But on comparing both models, this one does buff the floors better, and gives them a better shine, but is a bit more time consuming, having to vacuum with a separate machine, but all in all, I am very happy with this machine. I see a lot of reviewers saying it is too light to do the job, but I haven't found this, It is obviously not as good as an industrial polisher, but is perfect for keeping your floors looking like new. As I am a bit OCD about my floors, I can honestly say, that this polisher does a great job and would recommend it without hesitation.

Very lightweight did not take long to know this was of poor quality, almost flimsy

Doesn’t work good at all. The pads won’t stay on and doesn’t have the real cleaning power to do even the most marginal cleaning. I actually threw it in the trash

This is solid quality for a reasonable price. Easy to use and does a very nice job. We wanted it more for buffing than cleaning and we are very very happy with it. Try it, you'll like it.

Mi aiuta molto nel tenere puliti i pavimenti. È leggera e x me non più giovane è importante. Avendo Gatti , anche se prima passo l' aspirapolvere, raccoglie molti peli x cui è necessario pulirla spesso. Le spazzole le lavo a mano con detersivo e spazzola e vengono pulite facilmente, si possono, però, mettere in lavatrice con altre cose altrimenti fanno un gran baccano.
