My mum loves this
My mum is 93 and has some cognitive issues. Unfortunately, she also has terrible mobility and sits in her chair most of the day with just the TV for company. Apart from the TV she spends time picking imagery bits of fluff from her clothing or rearranging the table next to her chair repeatedly. I don't live near her but visit when I can. Mum has carers but no interest in going out. Mum use to go out every day but when Covid arrived mum was terrified of catching it and she wouldn't even look out her front door. I saw this book and thought, what a brilliant idea. I thought it was a bit expensive and did hesitate to buy it in case Mum wouldn't use it. I'm so glad I did because she was over the moon and fascinated by it. Mum found some of the textures comforting. It has different activities on each page, For instance, taking pieces of shaped felt off the page and putting them back, or a felt shoe with shoelaces which she can tie up. Also some pages with textures that you can touch and feel. I'm so glad I bought it. Yes, it does seem expensive, but for me, it is worth the money. You can see why it cost that amount a lot has gone into it and it is well-made. Recommend.

Overall good for dementia patients but expensive for the quality
In general this is a nice sensory book with several different activities that can keep those with dementia occupied. The quality however I found quite poor considering the price. There is a page with apples that can Velcro onto a tree and 1 Apple has already come off the Velcro in the first use (was just glued on) also the front snap fastening does not work, it is much too cheap and does not snap closed which given my mums late stages of dementia caused her some distress and she spent most of her time just trying to close the book. The makers should consider a magnetic closure or Velcro closure for easy use. I fixed the broken part myself and replaced the snap closure with Velcro, now that my mum is able to focus on the contents of the book rather than a closure that doesn’t work it is proving to be a great little fidget book for her to play with, I just feel that considering the price the quality should be improved.

Not worth the money!
I bought this for my Granny who is very bad with dementia, I had hoped that this would keep her entertained for a while. Although the idea behind it is excellent, the quality of this product is Very disappointing, considering the price, The glue that is used is far from adequate, after a less then an hour used most of the velcro was on the book but not on theAttachments. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money.

Excellent content
The content is proving a big hit with the recipient, but getting to it … that popstud fastener is a challenge for any person, never mind the target users (especially if they have arthritis in their hands)
