Essential little piece of kit. Only 4 stars because it's plastic, very light and not like the little aluminium ones I've used before but are also very expensive, sadly. It is worth the money - very useful for trimming with wee razor saws etc. Makes crafting and model building easier. Will get chipped and nipped and sawn quite easily. Worthwhile.

Its fine does what it needs to do.

Its pretty cheaply made plastic, i was expecting plastic and relatively small in stature but it is much smaller than expected its only useful for laminate trim or something like small trim/beading would work well with this, the angles themself seem to be ok and work as expected, but the plastic is brittle and easy to mark with the saw so easy to make an error and thus makes this useless and no longer fit for purpose, it didn't end up being big enough for the job I needed it was much thinner internally than I expected I would assume any wider than an inch would be too big for the product, it also isn't very deep either, so your material needs to be super less than an inch wide/thick and this wouldn't work well anymore you will suffer lol.

This Draper Mini Mitre Block Box 200mm x 35mm x 50mm Wood Angle Cutting Guide is just what I wanted to cut angles in plastic mini-trunking. ( I know the title of this says 'Wood Angle Cutting Guide', but I will be using this for cutting angles in plastic mini-trunking. ) I checked the size of the mini-trunking I was going to be installing around the home, then checked the size of this Draper Mini Mitre Block Box - 200mm x 35mm x 50mm - and after double checking the sizes again to make sure both were compatible with each other, I decided it was just right for my needs. Check, check, and check again the size of the mitre box gap between the guide walls before buying. For my needs, the size of the mini-trunking means it will fit nicely - with a little room to spare - in this mitre box with ninety degree, and forty-five degree cutting guides. The box is made of a durable-ish solid plastic, and will be used by me with care and attention so that I don't end up cutting into the guide walls or 45 degree or 90 degree guides ( slits ). If you aren't familiar with the use of mitre boxes with cutting guides for 45 degree or 90 degree cutting slits in the guide walls, imagine you'd like to join two pieces of wooden beading at a corner... Well, this is what you'd use to cut angles in the beading, so that both pieces of beading join together neatly to form a corner - be it a 90 degree corner, or 45 degree cornering ! I like this, and if necessary, will be buying a bigger version if needed. But for what I want to do right now, this is just right ! Delivery from Amazon Prime was the usual - great ! worked ok but would have been better in metal as i deviated into the plastic once or twice,but thats probably my fault.Good item though.

Helped me to panel my living room without a professional. So easy to use, you just need a good saw and this box. I would recommend for anyone who is looking to cut some wood. It is not the sturdiest as it’s plastic but it held up really well as long as you have a stable surface.
