Attractive, Solid and Silent
My husband and I are both very pleased with our recumbent. It will fit my needs perfectly. My husband was impressed with the clarity of the instructions and the provided tools for assembly. I was surprised by the other reviews which mentioned problems with assembly but my husband was quite pleased and he is very critical of quality. It took him about three hours but he took lots of breaks! I bought the Amazon recommended padded seat and rug to prevent scratching the floor. The machine might not be perfect for you. Two things that others have mentioned... the maximum resistance is not that much. A person that wants a truly heavy workout probably would be disappointed. Also the read out on my heart rate is not functioning well. These who items do not lower the value for me but it could for other people. All in all it is really quite beautiful, simple and solid. If as time goes on and I have a problem, I will update my review. Good job engineers on a good product at a great price point.

Great value, so far
I like elliptical cycles, but my basement has a low ceiling, so I want a seated recumbent elliptical. I was between the $829 Teeter Freestep and this Sunny one. I went with this one because: lower cost, it sits lower, and the warranty is longer at 3 years. I was concerned it still might be too high for my basement, especially since the FreeStep seat adjusts more vertically than the Sunny. If I was unsatisfied with the Sunny, I could return it and get the FreeStep instead. My concerns were: will it quiet enough? Will the resistance be enough? Will it feel good to use? Will it be durable? The answer to all the questions is "yes" (I think). The FreeStep claims to be whisper quiet. The Sunny is plenty quiet, it makes virtually no noise. The FreeStep has 13 resistance levels with a heavier fly wheel. The Sunny has 8 levels and is lighter. The resistance seems plenty for me. At level 5, I could tell it would be a quality work out. 8 should be enough if I advance levels. It feels good to use. My legs were getting good extension, and the arm motion and extension felt similar to the standing elliptical at the gym that I like. Time will tell if it's as durable as I think it is, and I reserve the right to change this review in the future. The parts seemed pretty solid in quality, and I am optimistic it will last well. It's pretty solid on an even floor. UPDATE: nearly two years later, it's holding up really well.

Good Value
This item works very well. I noticed some people indicated problems with squeaking when using it; I also had that issue, but tightened some of the bolts, and now it's VERY quiet. It does shake a little, so I'd be careful of putting my sell phone in the little holder. I've had it for over a week now and overall it's just what I needed. The materials (including the hardware and tools) are very sturdy, much more so than I expected (or see from similar things). The only major criticism I'd have would be that the instructions aren't as clear as they could be in some places. It was by no means a "complicated" assembly, though attaching the tension cable proved to be very tricky, even with two people. I did the rest on my own. I'm up to over 16 miles on it so far, and I tend to push things, so here's to hoping it lasts

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I bought this when i had a series of surgeries where I was going to have to be in a medical boot. Easy to get arm or leg or combo workout Phone stand works best if you don’t have a wallet on your phone but doable even if you have the wallet, though i do have a small phone. Really well made - they grease the parts well so there is no squeaking, the parts all fit together really well. It’s also really low profile for an exercise bike/ elliptical. And the seat is smooth and easy to adjust The resistance could be hard to adjust if you have very arthritic hands Machine is very safe (i don’t worry when my 4’ y old climbs around on it) Pedals wide enough for a medical boot but machine also safe enough to use without shoes if you were so inclined It is a lot to put together. The instruction manual deserves 3* at best; but the machine is largely intuitive to build and the parts are labeled Left and Right and fit together so well. I relied a lot on looking at the pictures on amazon and was able to build by myself but it took about 3 hours

ABSOLUTELY LIFE CHANGING
Just got this 3 days ago, but WOW!! My wife is recovering from hip replacement surgery and part of her PT is a recumbent bike. I saw her on it and decided that having one at home would aide in her recovery. I was correct. Plus an added bonus because I set it up in the living room, and you can mindlessly pedal while watching your favorite show. I have been a handy man and now a master cabinet installer and service tech. This assembly was a process. 3 hours. The photos of the parts were small and the card with the parts diagram did not include some of the parts. I got it together and the first time she road it the nylon nuts on the pedals backed out. I took the cover pieces off and reinstalled the parts and as of 5 days later no more issues. This is a super quiet machine. Assembled properly and tightened this machine is AWESOME!! It was intended to help my wife with her recovery, I have ridden it every day since assembled. Easiest, no brainer exercise. Just sit and pedal. Early on but super quiet and with the leveling knobs on the cross stabilizers it was easy to level on on older unlevel wood floor. If you have the room and watch tv, but aren’t very active, THIS IS THE MACHINE FIR YOU!!

Great Initial Impression
I'm going with 5 stars on this recumbent elliptical. Good solid hardware, detailed instructions, and heavy wall tubing. It even came with a decent wrench for the larger nuts, although my ratchet socket wrench was nicer for tightening the smaller nylon nuts to save time. The unit is quiet and easy to level and adjust. My wife and I both tested it and we're pleased with the fit and adjustable seat. This unit replaces an exercise bike and a step elliptical, so we also have more room combining those two to save space. It isn't any bigger than the step elliptical we had. I was worried about the 1 star reviews but it appears most of those were for pedal issues. The unit I received has platforms instead of pedals, with large bolts attached to the pedal arms along with locknuts to prevent loosening. I think the platforms will hold up fine.

Avoid: Cheap build, broken parts, squeak machine
Update Apr 2025: I'm done. If you look in the last photo, you can see that now the screw threads in the left side pedal socket are gone. It is now impossible to screw the left pedal in. No doubt it is because it is cheaply manufactured and I have had to remove that pedal numerous times to fix squeaking and broken part issues . This is the final straw. This bike is cheaply built, has had to have numerous part replacements and repairs in 15 months. I get the impression that this bike was not intended to be used as a serious exercise tool. If you plan on exercising anywhere like 30 minutes plus 6 days a week, then you should look elsewhere. This bike is a nightmare and I regret buying it. Avoid like the plague if you're smart. I would give it zero stars if I could because of the tremendous hassle and terrible workmanship. I'm going to spend more money and buy a better bike. Update Mar 2025: 14 months owned. Even with a brand new part, the same wheel part broke in exactly the same spot. This time the part completely broke away, as seen in the photo. I knew that I was out of warranty, just barely, but I needed to order a replacement part regardless. When I contacted customer service, I was told I could order a replacement part, but it was going to be weeks and weeks before I got it because they were moving warehouses. What a joke, weeks? So I took the part to a local welding shop, and in less than 10 minutes they had fixed it so it will never break again. The welder told me that the original weld was cheap, lazy and typical of the poor worksmanship you get from items from cheap companies. His words, not mine. As if to prove that statement, 3 of the 4 metal supports on the underside of the bike seat have broken. Cleanly snapped. Sigh. Maybe I should just take the whole bike to the welding shop and have them fix everything before it all falls apart! No matter how much I spray lubricant on moving parts, or remove and reinstall, this bike squeaks loudly. I basically have to wear closed headphones so the sound doesn't drive me crazy while I'm exercising. This had started as a 5/5 review last year, but now it's a headache that I would suggest you stay away from. This thing is clearly not designed to be an everyday heavy usage piece of exercise equipment. Bottom line: When everything works, the bike is a pretty good, if squeaky, exercise bike. But the parts on this exercise bike are unreliable, as is the customer service. The original box was missing a part to begin with. 6 months after purchase the left wheel axle weld broke rendering the bike unusable. 6 months after replacing that, the same thing happened again. And then shortly afterwards, the metal on the seat supports started to break. Customer service was initially helpful, but later ineffective and subpar. If you're planning to exercise regularly, then I suggest you look elsewhere. I would rate this bike I'm pretty high if it wasn't for the terrible and unreliable parts. Original review: I've had this bike for over 1200 miles now, 4 months of regular use. The exercise quality is very good. I'd say it is a good deal for the price. I did end up purchasing a gel seat cushion as an add-on from a different seller. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase but there are some issues. If you look through the reviews you'll see some people who recommended watching the video to assemble the bike. I found the written instructions to be perfectly understandable and did not watch the video. I had no problems assembling the bike. You can change the level of your workout by the simple shifting of a lever. There's noticeable differences between the magnetic settings, so depending on the type of workout you want there's a good bit of flexibility with the resistance. As for riding, the back leans back a little bit too much for my liking, but shifting the seat position forward or back is a simple process. And the leg and arm portions can be done together or separately. Unfortunately, the a bike came missing a washer. That was resolved through customer service, so if you have a similar issue be sure to email them through the order page. Kudos to customer service. UPDATE: So, my biggest irritation was that within a month, the bike started to make squeaking noises some of the exterior joints. I expected this, that's not a huge problem ... easily enough resolved initially resolved by using a spray lubricant. However a very irritating and loud squeaking developed inside the covered magnetic area. I had to remove all the screws to look at the assembly, thinking something had broken inside. It turns out the weld on the left side was the cause. Long story short, I emailed customer service with photos, and they sent me the replacement part and tools, as well as a link to videos on how to install the replacement part. After completing the repair, everything is fine.

A nice addition to a home gym.
A solid piece of workout equipment, worth the money. There is a lot to the assembly so make sure you have the time to do it and watch your hardware, so you don't make the mistakes I did. *If you are over 6-foot 1 inch, the fit of this machine may be a little tight for you.
