I try to shop 100% on line, but occasionally had to drive to a store for things like cheese. Now I no longer need to do so. Cheese I did buy at the store often went bad before I used it all. Now, I just rehydrate as needed. No waste. The Colby and Cheddar from this maker both taste great and are just as good as store bought.

I'm excited to add this to my food storage. My family loves cheese and being able to add shredded cheese to use with our long term storage food is amazing. Powdered cheese just isn't like cheese. I like that this is shredded cheese instead of powdered cheese. Powdered dried cheese has always seemed a little fake to me, and you're pretty much limited to making cheese sauce with it, and even that can have an odd grainy or gummy texture. Shredded cheese is so much more versatile--tacos, salads, casseroles, and anything else that calls for fresh shredded cheese. This is a great addition to our long-term food storage. Colby is one of my favorites because of its smooth melting texture, perfect for my homemade mac and cheese. My order arrived quickly and in excellent condition.
