Sepolita Chinchilla Dust 20kg

This product is very good. The only issue is that it always arrives in a battered state with some of the sand spilled out. Could do with more secure packaging, but otherwise it's good value for money.

Good quality bathing sand, good value.

I have been using this brand of chinchilla sand for years but sadly my local pet shop no longer stocks the large sacks. This is definitely a fine sand texture, rather than a true dust. That is something I much prefer for small pets as it doesn’t cause respiratory problems.My two chinchillas do really well with this product- even my ‘delicate’ boy who is prone to dry skin. I find it keeps coats in great condition without being over drying or irritant and the chins love it.I also use this sand with great success for my hamsters. My Roborovski has a third of his substrate made up of this sand and he’s a happy little guy. He loves to scratch around in it, dig himself in until he’s part buried in sand and sort through it to find bits of dry food I hide. This, like all dusts and sands, won’t hold up a burrow system so he has part of his tank dedicated to paper based bedding as well.My Syrian hamsters don’t tend to dig as deep in sand as dwarf hamsters. They prefer a wide, shallow dish of this to bath in and generally roll around in, while their main substrate is paper based to hold their tunnels.To sum it all up, I can’t see any reason I would change to another brand if Sepolita is available

Good product! I compared this Chinchilla Dust to another well know brand that comes in a small carton and I have to say that there is no visible difference in quality. The dust looks and smells the same and the texture feels the same. Whats more, my Chinchillas love it! And they are the real experts! It is 20kg of dust so it's heavy but well packaged and for the amount you get, which is a lot, the price is excellent! Definitely will buy again.

Does what it says on the bag; a lot cheaper than the small bags I usually buy at The Range per weight.
