It's thick. Had to thin with water. Worked fantastically
It's thick. Had to thin with water. Worked fantastic for this application. Washes off with water and a soap...well in the spray gun I had to use mineral spirits because my gun was a cheaper household Wagner.

Easy to apply!
I sprayed the Sound Control and Ceramic Coating in the cab area of my 86' Toyota 4Runner.I used 2 gallons of each along with the applicator gun they sell. I started half way up my fire wall (because I didn't want to remove my dash) and finished where the bed starts. I used all 2 gallons of the Sound, and had one gun hopper left over of the Ceramic.I removed the factory deadener using the dry ice and alcohol trick (worked Really well) and got a clean start. Lightly scuffed up everywhere I could and wiped out all the dust. The prep time took the longest to be honest, about 5+ hours by myself in 105 deg heat (not fun).Spray time was about 20 mins per coat and really easy to do. I did 2 coats of each and just followed the manufactures instructions.I did Dynamat in my last car and aside from prep, this was a lot more fun and I like the look of the end result better. As far as performance, the cab does sound a little quieter and the heat transfer seems to be less. This is an off road truck though so my main desire was to get the heat transfer down around the floor and overall sound less tingy which it seems to be doing that.I think with another 2 gallons I could do the side walls in the bed, front doors and hood to finish it out which I may do in the future. Maybe spray the headliner with the Ceramic. If you're thinking of doing this, I highly recommend roping in a buddy or two to cut down on prep time!I give it 5 stars for now because it was super easy to apply, instructions were simple, customer service people I talked to were great, and the product is doing what I hoped for.

Better than expected!
Sprayed the interior of my 56 pickup. It is waaaaaayyyyy quieter and has a much higher quality 'feel' when you close the doors or go over bumps

First time
I used both the sound deadener and the ceramic insulation (thermal break). 2 coats of each. This product is NOT cheap. And having used hushmat and killmat before, I think they are better than the lizard skin spray. However, I also wanted the thermal break properties of the CI skin. And, that seems to work with about a 10 degree difference. So it is an effective thermal barrier. (I couldn't find info on whether I could only use the CI, so I used both. It is particular about how to stir it, and its messy to use. I've painted cars before and this was rather messy with the pouring into the sprayer- cuz it's on the thick side. Definately use an appropriate sprayer as it paints on like a milkshake. I added some hushmat and 3M insulation on top of the lizard skin and I'm happy with the results. I don't recommend it as a stand alone product- but in conjunction with physical sound deadener, and insulation I think you'll be happy with the results
