YogaAccessories Traditional Mexican Yoga Blanket

These blankets are just an overall good blanket. Note: they are not made to be soft, they have more like a woven feel to them. It has a little weight to it and makes a good summertime blanket because they are kinda breathable but, at the same time, they can keep you warm in the cooler weather as well. They do well both indoor and outdoor. I've have mine for several years and it has held up great. It actually gets washed at the laundry mat since I'm a renter. The variety of colors make them fun and functional. When rolled up, it has enough subtance to provide a bit of cushioning if needed, especially with yoga. If you don't own one, just buy one, you will use it when outside lounging in the sun, around the campfire in the evening, or just for an afternoon nap. You won't regret owning one of these!!!

I really like these blankets! I ordered a lovely forest green and a rich burgundy. They are thin enough to have great drape and flexibility to fold for a variety of uses, but thick enough to offer warmth, cushioning and support. As a bonus, they are vibrant and quite lovely too. And the price is a steal for the quality. I will definitely be ordering more as I'm so pleased. The order arrived on time and in great shape. My only small concern is that the blankets arrived in two separate boxes when either box could have easily accommodated two blankets. Otherwise, I'm very pleased.

LOVE my yoga blanket. I got the purple color and it got here in no time and it is MUCH softer than I thought it would be. I've used similar blankets at the yoga studio - this one is for my home studio - and they were more coarse and even heavier, and this one has a softness to it. It is a great size and can cover a medium to large person completely if you are laying down in Savasana and want to put the blanket over you. I use it to open up my knees by folding it several times and sitting down in hero position, with bent knees and playing the blanket between legs and thighs and sitting on it. It feels wonderful. You should try it! And of course covering up under it during Savasana for a deep rest. Gonna be getting a second one soon.

I love this blanket! It could stand to be just a little more thick but it's not bad! I originally bought this to use as a yoga prop. Rolling it up and using it as a bolster and to sit on and meditate, but I practice on it as well and am loving it! I usually have it folded it have to provide more cushion. It takes some of the pressure off while I'm doing my practice. It's perfect for meditation too! My two year old loves to sit on it with me and stretch! For the price, it's pretty good!

Beautiful, thick Mexican blanket. The colors are wonderful and vibrant (I got the red); the texture is authentic. Those who complain about the delicate nature of a Mexican blanket should probably not buy one. Of course it needs to be handled with some degree of care. But I washed it on delicate cycle, dried it on a clothing rack, and it came out beautiful. No color bleed, no threads. I did not experience any smell, as some people have pointed out. I purchased this for my yoga but it's so nice, I ended up using it as a throw in our bedroom. So now I'm thinking of buying another one, possibly in blue this time!

After years of searching and trying out others, I have finally found the perfect yoga blanket! I got the light blue design color. The color was true to the photos. The blanket held up great in the washer/dryer and is surprisingly soft. It’s thick and warm and holds up well so far (I’ve had it about a month).

I just received my product and will update my review after a few weeks of use. First of all, don't disregard people's reviews where they state that the colors are off or completely different than advertised. I purchased the Grey blanket which shows in the picture as a mix of black and/or dark grey, white, and light grey. The blankets I received are a mix of black, light grey, white, and muted purple (see picture). The good news is, I like the color and don't mind the purple. The purple isn't super dark but it isn't lavender either so I am fine with it. I am returning one blanket for a replacement for a different reason though. I know these blankets are hand woven and expect some pulling etc. but one already has a rather large pull leading to a two inch string (apparently with two ends tied together) and a section about three inches wide with a hole in the middle. I just don't trust that it won't come unraveled or get bigger once I start to use it so I will be asking for a replacement (hopefully I will receive the same "wrong color" that I did this time). The blankets are a little thinner than the ones at the yoga studio but not significantly so to cause a problem for me. I do like the look and feel of them so I hope that I can come back and add a star to this review after a few weeks of use.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this item but it was exactly what I thought it would be and love it! I bought one just like this at a gas station of all places and kept looking for others. After reading the reviews on here I was worried it wouldn't be the same good quality as the one I already had. Once I got it, I found it its the same great quality! Not too thin, I can't stick my fingers through it like others have said. This will be perfect for when I practice yin yoga or cuddle on the couch. Great product, will probably buy a couple more.
