Looks great for the price. But we will see how it does in the field.
Seems like great casting and chain looks good. I will install these on my trucks and put them to work in the oil and gas industry. That will be the true test. The chain hooks on the body looks a little thin so if it brakes that will be the spot that it will fail. Be sure to oil or grease the chain tightening crank bolt. It has a crome finish but I’m sure that will wear off. We spray our other expensive name brand vices with powder graphite spray. (Stuff that’s used on country snow plows) it’s $15 a spray can. But it doesn’t attract dust and dirt like grease dose. It’s worth the cost to keep vices free and functional. The body is a little different and smaller the ridgid brand and the bolt holes are not the same size and placement as ridgid. So far I’m happy with it but time with tell. I’m thinking that if it brakes it will be where the knobs slip into the body. It’s a little thin on the chain hooks. I have bought Steel Dragon tools in the past and was very disappointed. The Vic groover seperated frim lower body and it was junk after that. We tried to put it in a vice and weld and brace it but no luck. So that’s why I’m disappointed with steel dragon tools and I didn’t want to go through that again with something as simple as a vice. P.s. we were Vic grooving 3” sch 40 pipe when it failed. Went out a bought a. $900 ridgid Vic roller because we were in the middle of a job.

Pipevise
It holds pipe like it should to be cut without moving, even threading pipe. It didn't move.. I needed one for my welding table, I use it to hold anything I need to cut.. I gave it a 4 because I received a grey one and not the red that was displayed..
