This is a lot better than having a regular fan when it gets hot inside. The only thing to watch out for is it leaks out the bottom a little so make sure it goes on a matt not just on the floor

I purchased this when the Temps were expected to be in the 80s and my home office does not have ac.ProsDoes cool a small area which worked since I placed it next to my desk.Easy set upConsNot an ac but a cooling fan. I don't think this will work when the temp is over mid 80s.It does work but is limite.

We agree with most of the positive comments in other evaluations: the unit is very nice, elegant, solid built, absolutely quiet in all speeds except slight hum in the top speed. In cleans the air well and fast. It has nice features: light indicators, timer, odor sensor.The only issue – for which I removed 1 star – is the filter capacity. New filter costs over $33+ and (according to the description) should be replaced every 3-6 months when used daily. We used the air purifier every night and sometimes for short periods during day for almost 1 month to our full satisfaction. Then the air developed a strong smell and the purifier became unusable. The odor originated from the (strongly smelling) filter; once the filter was removed from the unit the odor disappeared. On this subject the Amazon sale site says: “Air Choice air purifier for home is supported by a 2-year full with 24/7 dedicated customer support & FREE FILTERS “ (capitals in the original text). When we contacted the seller, Amazon passed our complaint to the manufacturer and manufacturer declined our complaint, claiming our faults (“the ambient air quality” and “… you have to remove the plastic bag when replace the filter ...”). Both are nonsense: the purifier functioned perfectly for almost a month (obviously, with the bag removed; what they think, that we are morons ?) and we had always closed all windows in the house (hot summer). Our request for the “FREE FILTERS“ for 2 years was ignored. (too good to be true ?)The original package with the unit contained also a card requesting our comment on Amazon site with promised reward of a “FREE FILTER”. I am afraid that this may end up similarly as the promised “2-year full with 24/7 dedicated customer support & FREE FILTERS”. And my advice: if you do not mind to purchase a new filter every month, go ahead a buy this unit. The filter is very easy to install and the lights blink in 4 different colors. :-)P.S. Changed experience: relied too much on "Amazon's Choice" ?

I dislike that running the ice part with water sounds like a bubbling fish tank can't sleep when making that noise. I don't know if this is normal. I just run the fan on me when its hot in my bedroom

The product comes fully assembled and only requires that the plastic bag/cover be removed from the filter inside the unit. The product manual does discuss the need to remove this plastic bag/cover when RE-installing a filter, but not upon initial receipt and use.We purchased this unit to help clean the air in our home during the 2020 wildfire season in California and it has performed quite well. We have used it constantly for the last month with no problems at all. All trace of smoke is eliminated from a large area of our home. Only the highest speed setting makes any noticeable noise but even that is not very loud. The auto feature and air quality monitor seem to work quite nicely, but the air has been cleaned so well we do not notice the air quality sensor changing much beyond Blue. The night setting is a greatly appreciated feature as the normal operating lights do glow a bit and could potentially disturb sleep.All in all, we are very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone in the market for such a health/safety device.

This air purifier works perfectly! I have 2 large dogs and when they come in from playing outside they smell like sweaty dogs. This air purifier has helped keep my home smelling clean and fresh. I love how it has a sleep mode option which quiets the fan so it doesn’t disturb your sleep.You can also set a timer for either 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or 8 hours. There are 4 speeds, automatic, slow, medium and high. I usually leave mine on medium and we have a pretty open floor plan so it covers my entire living room, kitchen, dining area and hall way.There’s an LED circle indicator that tells you the quality of your air. Blue is good, Green is not really good or bad, and Red is bad. Unfortunately this unit doesn’t come with a remote control but I honestly don’t really feel like I need one. The control panel on the top of the unit is very self explanatory and easy to use and the timer feature turns it off automatically. I’ve had the device for almost 2 weeks now and I can tell a huge difference in my homes air quality.

* Updated 9/25/20I lowered the rating from 5 to 3 because as I learn about CADR ratings and what they mean this product does not list it on Amazon or in the user manual. The CADR is very important especially for folks like me who have many pets and suffer from allergies. The higher the CADR rating the better it is for you so yeah no rating kinda not good.So just had this delivered today and right out of the box and plugged in. Nothing to assemble which I love. Now got this because it cleans up to 495 sq ft and my open space fits this just perfectly. The first picture is in blue with one of 7 cats that I have and this one became really curious lol. So I decided to test this and using my vape you can see it go from blue to green and then red, after a minute it went back to blue. I will update you all in a few weeks but for now it's great and oh it's not that noisy on high and very quiet on medium and can't hear anything on low/sleep so perfect for the conjuncture between living room and kitchen and dining plus entry way 😺😁
