I saw Diller at a conference last October and was impressed enough to pre-order this book - I am glad I did
I am looking for something more meaningful and deeper than Daily 5 rotations. I observed a fellow teacher using workstations last fall and was thinking of implementing them. Diller's book is a common sense approach to effectively planning and implementing workstations AND making all of your time count in your classroom. I saw Diller at a conference last October and was impressed enough to pre-order this book - I am glad I did. While this is not entirely "new" information, it is valuable and provides a practical (and manageable) approach to improving or implementing workstations. I would recommend this book if you feel you are in a "reading time rut" as a fresh approach to improved learning. Even better, the context can be applied to your guided math time - teach one set of routines and have support for independent learning through the biggest part of your day. The text also provides great ideas for organization, standards alignment, anchor charts, and balancing whole group, guided groups, and independent learning!

This is an excellent resource for any teacher as well as resource teacher
This is an excellent resource for any teacher as well as resource teacher. It provides practical ideas and strategies and the colored photos in the book provide a wonderful visual. I loved the "Digging Deeper" questions at the end of each chapter for further reflection.
