Thrilled to see that what the other reviewers are saying is true! Tried it for the first time today and can already tell a difference in brightness of teeth! Will have to try over the next few months to see how gum health improves. Easy to use, but I do recommend soaking in a small amount of water so you only get the edge of the stick wet so that it lasts longer. The taste is not bad - slight chemical taste but it could just be the taste of the wood itself that I'm not used to or the packaging - but it is not bad and after using I just rinsed my mouth out and it feels fine. My teeth feel very smooth and I look forward to continuing to use this. Easy to handle and to use and I'm sure the more you use it the more it works. Great value for price for the 12 pack. Should last quite a while!

I’m actually very fond of these miswak sticks. Very effective, soft enough that I can brush my gums with it despite having sensitive gums, and stiff enough to effectively remove all plaque. Very impressed. It kind of reminds me of a natural version of a micro-nano toothbrush, which I also have and love to use. I was a little skeptical when I saw some people say that they didn’t like the smell or taste, but, I’ve also been using herbal and natural things for many years, and I know sometimes people say that because the product is actually bad, but probably a majority of the time, people say things like that because they expect it to be the same as what they’re used to. This is a plant, not plastic, and it’s not going to taste or smell like unicorn sparkles or an artificial flavor. If you need to have flavor, have a natural mint or minty tea after cleaning with the miswak stick. If the batch was shipped in good condition, it won’t have any problems. When you open it, it will have a mild earthy smell that I’d describe as wet grass or wet tree and a very mild horseradish smell, but that smell dissipates very fast after opening the individually wrapped sticks, that’s just a natural smell that wrapped plants will get because they need a bit of air exposure after opening. After soaking the end of the stick, there’s no smell, and it has no flavor, it’s completely flavorless. Left my mouth feeling and tasting very fresh after brushing with it, without having to spit! I just drank cold water after brushing, and my mouth was fresh. Rinse the stick after using it, and dry it, and then it’s ready for you to wet the end again and reuse it. Really glad I got this, I’m surprised at how well it works.

I’ve been pleased with these miswak toothbrushes overall. They’re individually packaged, fresh, and easy to keep with you when traveling or at work. They leave your mouth feeling clean and have a mild, natural taste without needing toothpaste. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the fibers can take a little time to soften, and you need to trim or chew the tip before the first use. Once prepared, they work well and are a nice natural option for anyone looking to reduce traditional toothpaste use or try something different. I’d purchase them again and would recommend them to anyone interested in natural oral care.

Size is good, nice and thick. See picture w Pen for size comparison. Other sites complained and small a skinny sticks. They came vacuum packed in wrapper, sticks were moist and fresh, bark easy to peel off. Tasted earthy but not vile or revolting as others said. I’m going to let it dry out so it doesn’t get moldy, and just wet brushy part to use it again. Will buy again when I run out.

Taste really bad. Consider will you use these and use them consistently.

Google how these work before you leave a bad review. My teeth and mouth feel so much cleaner after using these. The taste isn’t the worst and you get used to it. My teeth even look whiter after just one day. Very easy to use. My teeth and gums are sensitive and these sticks do not irritate either of those. 5/5.

The whole package smelled like urine. I washed it and let them air dry for a few days and still smaller terrible. Wasn’t eligible for return. I think I got a bad batch

Definitely has a very strong flavor that takes getting used to. Tastes like a root vegetable of some sort. BUT it works amazing. Your mouth feels clean and even though it has a distinct taste, it doesn't leave your mouth smelling like that taste. It was a hard adjustment to be okay with the fact that mint doesn't equal good breath, but it leaves your mouth smelling neutral so it did its job at killing bad breath. My teeth feel like they do leaving the dentist. I saw whiter teeth after one use, I know not everyone will have that but I did. It feels awkward to maneuver it around your mouth at first, like brushing the backside of your teeth, but you get the hang of it and you can actually get every nook and cranny. I say its definitely worth it and I will be exclusively using this from now on. Better than any toothbrush I have had yet. Definitely takes getting used to, but worth it.
