This is only one of two dandruff shampoos available in the US that contain piroctone olamine, an anti fungal chemical that addresses the root cause of dandruff. Here in the US, all dandruff shampoos other than coal tar, sulfur or ketaconazole (Nizoral) have Pyrithione Zinc ( the main ingredient in Head and Shoulders, etc.) but it is banned in the EU because of toxicity (messes up reproductive systems of sea life, causes inflammation etc.) Whenever I used Head & Shoulders, etc. I would have redness, itchiness around scalp and ears. After getting dandruff shampoo in Europe, I found it worked and was far gentler. Head & Shoulders in the UK is produced with piroctone olamine. The only other brand you can get in the US which has piroctone olamine other than Philip Kingsley is The Body Shop's Ginger Scalp Care shampoo (much cheaper and you can order it from their on-line store since all US retail stores have closed in the US, they are a UK company). I have both Kingsley and the Body Shop to rotate. Both are gentle and works well.

My scalp is very prone to itching and flaking. I've been using this shampoo for a couple of years and it never makes my scalp itch or flake, and it keeps my hair shiny. Used a Molten Brown shampoo in our guest bath last week and after one use my hair was full of white flakes. On the negative side, the cap on this bottle is designed to create frustration and occasional rage. I now rip the flip top off when starting a new bottle.

I will never buy anything else. Good-bye frizzies. My hair is soft and manageable after using this shampoo. It might seem a little spendy but oh, so worth it. Quality and effectiveness goes a long way!

Been using this shampoo for a couple years now and it’s the only one that has consistently addressed my excema. Love it.

Makes my hair appear greasy and limp BUT it pretty much took care of the flaky scalp. I will continue using it for a while.

Was not sealed and not filled up all the way . Very disappointing

I have used numerous other shampoos for dry scalp control and this one is working better than the others. Definitely try it if you struggle with dry scalp

I have been using this shampoo for a month or 2 now. I am not sure I am liking it that much. It works ok to get my hair clean, a little harder to lather on the first wash. On the second wash - it lathers fine, and seems to do an adequate job managing dandruff. One of the things I do NOT like about his shampoo though, is that I seem to get large pimples and or bumps on my scalp as a result of using it. When I use other dandruff shampoos, I don't seem to get this. So not sure what is in it that may contribute to this. Also the price point is very high on this shampoo. Another negative.

Other than the product that saved my hair, made it thicker, healthier, softer. Its such a amazing product even the shipping it arrived before the approximate date and it came in a very good packaging condition it wasnt ruined and it was all clean and well maintained. I really recommend this product if anyone is willing to buy one it has helped my hair so well aswell as it came so fast and in a good condition.
