Small enough to fit into any socket and gives a good beam of light from a 7watt bulb. It turns full circle so it can light up a datk corner etc. a very well made and usefull product.

Bought these to use as night lights/dimmed hallway lights to avoid using main lights on an evening,(now that the nights are longer), and they are simply brilliant, great product and as ever delivered promptly and professionally, top drawer Amazon. 👍

This is a nice shiny white plastic socket-mounted light. I bought a pair, and think them a little expensive. The mount swivels so that you can angle the light through 360 degrees. The vendor suggests it might be used with a remotely controlled socket, which would help spread the light, being farther from the wall. The switching is otherwise on the socket plate which may be inconvenient. I've mounted them on either end of the trunking in my spare bedroom office, so that they're some 65mm from the wall, and used a couple of warm white bulbs to improve the office lighting which is otherwise a fluorescent ceiling fitting.

I’ve used this as an uplighter behind a large plant and it looks great. I’ve used it with a Lunvon remote to turn it on and off, which I also use for the tv, as I found that a timer (the timers that I had) wouldn’t work when attached due to the size of the light restricting the timer clock moving. The light is simple and flush and gives a good light so is perfect to either highlight or use as a light source. I’ve played around with the rotation, which is a good feature, but the uplighter mode works best for me. I would certainly purchase more and definitely recommend.

UPDATE 2: Can confirm the new batch fixes the issues I had, this product has been brought back to the original high standards. I urge all owners of the 'bad batch' to contact the manufacturer as they have replaced my units free of charge. Great service, wish all manufacturers were this reactive to customer opinion. UPDATE: Contacted the manufacturer and they are aware of the issue. The problem stems from updating the materials to cater for halogen bulbs (even though this is only mean't for LED bulbs) and prevent melting - these improved materials ended up being more translucent (as my picture shows). They have now created a third batch that promises to be both be halogen-resistant, and opaque - will update this review once I test the new batch, fingers crossed. === Just to confirm Grandad Mac's review. I also bought one of these some months ago. Loved it so much I bought another and the new one really lacked the quality of the first (both photos taken with the same Phillips Hue bulb). If you don't mind the light shining through the (same thickness but now translucent) plastic then this remains a good and simple product but beware it no longer looks as advertised in the product images. I wouldn't be surprised if this change in construction also has something to do with the more recent reviews complaining of melting ... Time will tell I guess. I have bought one directly from the manufacturer and will report back if the issue lies with them or the Amazon reseller.

I've gave these a 1 star for remote control as It doesn't have any remote features. Plug it in and it lights up. Clearly states on the packaging LED Gu10 light bulb to be used so if you use the halogen then you will run into issues probably. I've used two in opposite corners to light up dull areas where can have a table lamp and they work perfectly. I paired them up with WiFi lights that pair with Alexa. They are brilliant. Can set for when needed and control remotely through the bulbs Seemed expensive for light fittings are first but are a great addition to the room now

Why did you choose this product over others?: I have several of these all over my home. You can use different wattages of bulb and the give a lovely light. Use in the hall as uplighter and night light. Good quality and will buy more.
