Don’t Hesitate - You’ll love it!
What an absolutely beautiful book by an absolutely lovely human. The gentle, funny, humble character that he is shines out of the pages and felt like a tonic every time I picked it up. So interesting to hear him talk about the behind the scenes stuff you wouldn’t usually know about and fantastic snippets from his family and colleagues give the book such a warm feel. It’s very honest, sometimes humorous but always incredibly engaging and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If more people in the world were like Woody it would undoubtedly be a kinder and happier place.

Good Book
I recently finished this book and did enjoy it. The format is really good and it’s definitely different from other cricket books. I can only give it 4 stars because of the way it’s written. In staying true to Mark Wood’s roots it is written how he talks with North Eastern colloquialisms. He uses the word us instead of me for example which can be confusing if he’s talking about himself or more than one person.

The Best Autobiography
For those potentially troubled by the Ashington/Northumbrian accent, I won't say Geordie accent! He does a great phrase breakdown at the beginning. If you are a cricket lover, you must read this. The bloke you listen on the TV after a game is this bloke, as he says you are where you come from. Great sense of humour.

I imagine this was for younger readers
What is undoubtably a good story about a very popular and talented player. The book was spoilt for me by the ‘jokes’ that were shoe horned in to let us know what a wacky maverick Mark Wood is.Very irritating and ruined what must be a remarkable story. It became so irritating I gave up after a few chapters. Such a shame
