I bought this as a gift for my friend. This is our gift to her. She bakes cookies for Christmas every year. She remembers us every Christmas.

My mother would make homemade licorice ice cream for me when I was young. I started making my own recently and this anise is powerfully flavored. You can't get too much licorice flavor for me.

This is the best Anise Oil for baking! I wish it were a little easier to find in a local store but I was very happy to be able to get it on Amazon!

I've purchased this previously and the flavor is great. Purchased more all out of the 12 bottles all were crystalized (a thick white paste). I almost returned them thinking they were bad until I saw other reviews where people experienced the same problem. Apparently having them delivered in the winter will do this, and room temperature doesn't change them back to a clear liquid. Best way is to put some in each front pocket and after about 15 minutes they are back to normal.

This was recommended by Stewart's and I was not disappointed. It's very potent and will have a very long shelf life. I recommend this.

After trying several other brands this one is the best. Intense anise flavour for baking.
