It’s marketed for the food industry, but I’m convinced it’s actually a prop for a horror movie. Thinking of making fine powder? Good luck! You'll end up with a confetti explosion of your material all over instead of in the intended spot. And if your ingredients are heat sensitive? Well, you might as well start shopping for a new product because this one turns into the sun. All in all, if you’re looking for a mill that doubles as a horror show, you’ve found your winner!

It IS very loud… ear plugs and dust mask are needed. Works super for grinding my own chicken feeds.

We have used mills similar to this one in our artisan milling for 5-6 years. Good design, overall hard to beat. Last one we received in April has the ball bearing pocket on the end of the mill cast off center. It causes the mill to generate heat, require relubrication every 7-8 pounds ground, and lose adjustment and grind consistency. We're working with distributor to resolve the issue. We took to a machine shop and had it re-bored on center. They had to make a seat in the curvature of the ball in order to align it. We've been milling with it since. We do still seem to need to lube the ball bearing more often than on past units. I hope the mfgr gets this fixed .
