Bombproof packaging!!!
Has anyone else struggled prizing the ball out of the packaging?! My goodness!!!It is hard - MB5 means...approximately 115mm diameter...making it really handy for doing trigger point/myofascial/self releeases offof a wall instead of getting on the floor - so handy for the older clients, me when I feel old, the office (because getting on the floor just isn't British!) and when proactively preventing the dog from seeking the opportunity to jump all over you because...well of course, you're playing aren't you!?£20...yeah, bit steep but I suppose that's the prize of a brand name and shopping around for something of a similar size etc...nope...So would I recommend? Yes - it is hard, and it is robust. And given that it is foam in construction...very light. But as I say, robust....I am easily 115kg and have used it on the floor in places and it takes it no problem...however, I'm not willing to test this to destruction. VERY HANDY size for wall-based exercises/options - which, since discussing these on a course and giving them to older clients/the Mother.....are an absolute no-brainer.Find it strange saying this, but purchased one as one of a number of Mother's Day presents and she loves it for self-managing her knots/aches/pains/tightness - so, to facilitate self-efficacy and help someone out of pain - worth every penny right there.Hope the review reflects your experiences too. Enjoy.

Excellent for back pain
Really good massager, better than shiatsu back machine or foam rollers, especially for targeting certain spots in lower back like the QL muscle. Excellent massage ball, go for largest size if possible.

This is the dogs boll***s - although harder and bigger.
This is just fantastic. I regularly use the TP foam roller and small lacrosse ball, I have been dithering over this ball since the dog chewed my small ball. I never should have waited. It is so good at putting pressure on the spot and the difference in density between the poles and equator make quite a difference (although it doesn’t feel that different when pushing with a finger). So don’t delay, splash £25 and push a bit harder on your next workout so you can work on the tight spots.

My favourite / most essential gym item. Fantastic
I can't recommend this enough. Far better than a foam roller, I've rolled in places I didn't know I could prior. The large 12.7cm lime coloured one allows me to train legs / do dead lifts even when my legs are sore, if I use this for 5 minutes before. The large size makes it so much more useful than any other foam roller in existence, and all other massage balls are too small / have no grip. This doesn't pinch at nerves like a lacrosse ball, it sort of grips onto the muscle and then rolls out the tightness with less pain.Only thing I'd change is make an all black version, or a grey / black one so it doesn't get dirty, as a gym floor can be dirty.I also bought the MBX version, and this is great for shoulders and traps, and slightly harder. Please make a larger MBX red version since I'd like a larger variant of that too.

Wow, it works!
I suffer from trigger point pain in the deep tissues of my hips and buttocks. I used as instructed on the official YouTube video and the pain relief was significantly better than from painkillers of every type. Highly recommended.

Not as versatile as a roller
I bought this to target my gluteal muscles. It does the job but it requires a lot more concentration than a roller. I use my roller of an evening when I’m watching tv or listening to music. You can’t do this with the ball, you have to concentrate a lot more. For some this may have the added benefit of activating your core and turning it in to a mini workout. I just found it a little annoying and ended up buying a peanut roller to replace it.I can’t fault the product though, it’s well made and does what it is advertised to do. Although the harder black top sections did tend to “grip” too hard for my liking and often felt like they were just pinching nerves rather than reliving pressure.

Amazing at getting into all your trigger points
Perfect! Gets to all the trigger points with ease! I’m wondering why it took me so long to get this - after just a few hours it’s become my favourite purchase in a very long time. All the trigger points in my back, shoulders, neck can easily be reached, leant into and eased with this. Perfect size, perfect firmness and can’t recommend highly enough!

A great all round product
I bought a large Trigger Point foam massage ball after my physiotherapist recommended it. I have found the ball to be very effective at releasing knots in my upper back and shoulders. It has kept my muscles loosened between physiotherapy sessions and has helped to decrease upper back / shoulder aches and pains and headaches. The trigger point ball is more user friendly than using a tennis ball - especially when using it rolling up and down against a wall because it gets better purchase than a tennis ball and does not pop out unexpectedly. Buying this product has been a good investment for me.
