I live in south FL, where insects are out to get ya year round. There have been times, even with insect repellent, my legs in particular look terrible because of all the mosquito/fly bites. You miss a spot with spray, they find it. And the eucalyptus and lemon spray I’ve used around my neck and head…generally useless. I look like a mummy when I’m out in the yard (there’s a wetlands behind the house, which doesn’t help), with my head wrap and neck bands, and a cap. Year round I’m almost always working in the yard or otherwise doing something recreational out somewhere in a natural setting, so I’m exposed more than a lot of people. With the exception of the “natural” repellent I used around my face and neck, I have never used anything other than products with at least 25% Deet. We have quite a variety of nasty, disease-carrying mosquitoes here. Need to take serious precautions that way when you’re outside so much. This stuff is terrific. Keeps mosquitoes and biting flies at bay, not an easy task. They fly by my head and leave! It’s barely scented, and what there is smells nice…unlike the “dry” sprays out there that almost make me nauseous because of the smell. I use it on my face, neck, arms, etc. No reaction whatsoever. Not greasy. Is a little sticky when first put on, but quickly dries. Can’t even tell it’s on. I’m most often outside in early evening to sunset and slightly afterward, for 2-4 hours. Works like a charm. Made in the U.S. with ingredients from here and Germany. A very good thing. I used it almost every day; even when sweating bullets in the high heat and humidity in Summer it did its job. Not sure how it could be any better. Worth every dime for me. I used to go through cans of the spray stuff, and it’s getting more expensive (and there’s less in the can now) all the time. This lasts a good while. Just a little dab will do ya…so you can be very conservative with it, and it should do you just fine.😉

I am a mosquito magnet whether indoors or outside. Proven has been very effective keeping me comfortable from these pests on my daily walks. The lotion is light goes on smoothly not sticky. There is no annoying odor!

AWESOME!!!! Our friends told us about this lotion and swore by its effectiveness. We quickly bought it a day before our week long trip and took it to the Peruvian Amazon. We didn’t get one bite!!!! I bought this product to take with us on a tropical vacation as an alternative to DEET products. Nothing like going to a restaurant and smelling like Deep Woods Off. A little skeptical so took the DEET as a back up, but this stuff works. There is a slight smell (to me) when I put it on but quickly fades. You can tell you have applied it but it's not sticky like DEET and NO SMELL. And the best part? It works. I used it in Belize and now use it at home. We have chiggers (if you do not know what those are, well, count yourself lucky. They are the itty-bitty, spawns of Satan that embed in your skin in places NOTHING should embed in (pantylines, crotch area, underboobs, anywhere that is hot and... uhm, humid) and itch 100x more than a mosquisto bite. However when I remember to put this on - NO CHIGGER bites (no mosquitos either except where I didn't apply). I have taken to putting it on my legs every morning so when I'm chasing my dog through the daisies, I'm safe. Really can't recommend it enough. Can't speak to tick repellant as that isn't a huge issue where I live. Going to try the spray next as I can then spray on clothes for when I'm thrashing through the brush and trees after my wayward mutt. I don't know about water resistance, I reapplied when I came out of the ocean. I never got bit by the sand fleas/flies that plagued my first trip to Belize however. It does wash off OK. From my research, Picaridin can be toxic to fish in large quantities and isn't good for salamanders but "seems" to be 'safer' than DEET. But I'm not a scientist so don't come at me about how wrong I may be. I'm just a dog mom and traveler that found this product to work well for my needs.

The best insect repellent ever! Easy to apply and coverage is better than with spray on. I’ve tried a lot of other products and this works best especially for the Noseums in Florida!

Great protection from mosquitoes without the disgusting smell of OFF. It has a very mild smell, and is almost completely oderless. I love this product.
