Can't live with it
Yes they are expensive, but worth every penny, I've bought 2 for friends as they loved it too , a kitchen must have !!The battery lasts around a year , easy to get your rubbish out & never have to touch the bin 😉 with full hands .. you then expect all your bins to be the same after using this .. it really is a great kitchen must have ..Recommend 10 /10

Flimsy battery cover and the devil incarnate
The media could not be loaded. This bin is neat and look good. The lid is very sensitive and enthusiastic and seems to open for no reason! The battery cover is very flimsy and falls off when putting it all back together. I've put duct tape on it.Edit**few months laterOMFG this bin is the actual devil!! My children refuse to go near it. It opens and closes ALL by itself all bloody day long. It drives us insane. It's over sensitive or isn't for busy kitchens because it needs a 2m round space to live in. It ultimately has to live in absolute isolation from everything and everyone and all of anything. It finally left today and we can all breath a sigh of relief that we won't hear the endless neeee narrrwwwwhhhrrr of it endlessly opening and closing, ever again.Maybe we got a defective one but I suspect not. They offered me a replacement but we couldn't face it. Warranty works great. Evri pick up.

Great bin but mechanism didn’t last 3 years
Found this bin to be a huge upgrade from pedal versions with my 2 young kids in mind. Far less mess or marks on the back wall from over enthusiastic foot stomps. The lid fits on very securely and it isn’t much effort to change bags.We owned this for little over 2 1/5 years before the mechanism for the lid gave up. The lid wasn’t dropped or damaged in any way and regularly cleaned. I’ll be buying again and this time considering the extended warranty a little more

Binnage
Only downside is it doesn't empty and take the bag out, bar this it's exactly as it looks and works a dream, good size.

Slightly mixed review.
The bin looks good and is sturdy, I would have given 5 stars throughout if it wasn't battery operated as it's costing a fortune in batteries. The batteries last around 3-4 weeks then go sluggish meaning you have to lift the lid manually to put rubbish in, the rubbish spout is an upward movement rather than downwards towards the bin. Overall a good buy providing you have plenty of batteries.

Wave goodbye to rubbish
Couldn't make our minds up on what bin to purchase but this cam up slightly bigger than the rest. The steel bin looks nice and the lid as mentioned on other reviews is very shinny. The first impressions when unpacking was that the bin was out of shape at the back on the join. However this does ensure a good fit of the lid. The lid itself look flimsy as when you pick it up it slowly falls open if upside down and then closes when turned over. Fitting the batteries and operation is really easy and at just a wave of the hand the lid opens, I think its 6 seconds before it closes, which sounds not a lot, nut in practise is more than enough. If you think you need longer, you can push the open button and then the close button when finished. Can't comment on durability or battery life yet, but we look to turn off of a night to conserve and prolong battery life. A good neat looking bin which I would recommend.
