Worked and lasting for years

Received this seal kit a day or two ahead of the motor (which arrived early). Because I had the seals I was able to install the motor right away when it arrived. A couple of tips for those installing these seals. It is recommended that you use pool lube (example, magic lube, I used Hayward's version) so you may want to order some when you order the seal kit if you do not have any on hand. These seals fit perfectly and the motor install went well because I had every seal I needed with this kit. The price also seems good. Amazon recommends an additional seal with the install (Swimming Pool Pump Shaft Seal (SP-1600-Z2) for Hayward inground swimming pool pump # PS201). I am pretty sure i don't need that one and will try to return it when it arrives.

All was good with this kit. Except: I could not get the seller to understand that his Amazon listing shows this as a "By: Hayward" part. Seller argued with me but I just looked and it still showed this eronious listing as being a Hayward part. The listing picture even had the top margin trimmed off where it says "by Aladdin". Anyway, nothing wrong with the parts, used them in rebuilding my old Hayward 1.5HP Super Pump. Everything looked good, but I am in Ohio so it will be months before I put the pump back into use. Hope all goes well. So I knocked off a start for the stubborn seller! Parts are fine.

This is the second gasket kit I have purchased. I leave my pump on year-round, so I get around 2-3 years on the motor. I've bought my first kit at my pool store and paid triple. This kit comes with all gaskets for the motor and pump reservoir. Works great and never had a leak. If you are a do it yourselfer like me make sure you watch YouTube for installation. It will show you how to install gaskets without contamination. I also buy my motor from Amazon which is much cheaper then others I've found on the internet.

It took 15+ years but the shaft seals on my SP2610X15 started leaking pretty bad. Once I got it apart, I realized the shaft seals were worn and had ground into the seal plate behind the impeller. This gasket set was just what I needed minus having to get a new seal plate. Once I got the new seal plate, I just looked on YouTube and found numerous videos on replacing the seals plus I was able to get the Hayward SuperPump manuals, too. Taking it all apart and putting it back together took about 30 minutes....tops. I had a few drops of water leak out once I turned it back on, but no doubt that was just from the ceramic disks in the seals seating for the first time. Now she runs bone dry and its been about a week. This kit comes with the housing gasket, diffuser gasket, and strainer cover gasket and then the 2 shaft seals that butt up against each other behind the impeller. For $14 and Prime delivery, it is well worth the money, time, and effort replacing all of these at once. That's assuming I get another 10-15 years out of them. I highly recommend doing it all at once.

Works perfect. Leak is gone. For first timers use waterproof grease to slide it in. Saved so much $$

Bought both this kit and a B228SE motor from Amazon to replace my Hayward super pump. Don’t waste your money on this kit as two different seals in this kit leaked water. First the impeller seal. It’s the one in the picture. Seal leaked badly after installing. As you can see from the picture the seal came apart when I replaced it with one from a pool store. Also the spring on this seal was difficult to compress and got stuck when it was compressed, which is why I believe it leaked. The seal I got from the pool store worked fine and did not leak at all. The other seal that was bad was the seal that mounts on the back of the pump filter basket on the flange were the pump meets the filter basket. It was noticeably wider than the one installed and it leaked also because if that. I had my pump on and off several times trying to diagnose the two leaks. Replacing the pump and seals should have only taken a hour or so but it took me 3-4 because of the seal leaks. Some of you may possibly be thinking that I screwed up and therefore got leaks. I can assure you that this is not the case. I am an aircraft mechanic and changing a pool pump and seals is well within my skill level. Take my advise. Save your money and your time and don’t buy this kit. Go to your local pool store instead.

These all worked great. The price is great, especially when you compare buying them individually from the local pool supply. The large round one for the housing (sorry I'm not up on all the terms) was an inch too big. I did have to go buy a different one. This may be due to the age of my pool pump but even having to do that, it was a money saver. The biggest money saver was the little pack of lubricant that came with it. A tube of that stuff isn't cheap.
