It works with my old Hoover steam cleaner!
I’ve had my Hoover steam cleaner for carpets for well over 25 yrs. The seal on the cleaning solution side was broken causing the solution to pour out during use. The water chamber seal was fine. Otherwise the cleaner was in great shape. This replacement tank looks slightly different (the original one was a translucent blue and this one is clear) but other than that, it’s the same and it works and fits great! Happy to have only spent $65 rather than buy a new machine.

Hoover Spin vac replacement canister works great
I got my Hover spin and Vac replacement canister and it fit perfectly. It DID NOT come with a handle, nor does it show one in the picture,BUT, it only takes about 15 seconds to switch the old handle over to the new one, just pull out and unhook each side one at a time, then reverse the process on the new container. If your old handle is broken, or no longer usable, then this will not work for you.

Fits my model!
When I opened the box I was kinda concerned because there wasn't anything to protect it other than a bag around it. I haven't used my machine yet to say how it is... But I'm so excited! It fits my model that isn't listed. Was nervous that it wouldn't. The old tank seals failed and it would leak considerably from the soap section. I'm happy to have a replacement! Cheaper than just getting a new machine. I'll give an update once all the carpets have been cleaned.

DOES NOT COME WITH A HANDLE
The item DOES NOT COME WIT A HANDLE. The tank is useless without a handle. Hoover apparently does not offer a replacement handle despite that it's a obvious point of failure if it breaks. I needed the handle more than I needed the tank. Hoover should police the comments and correct misinformation about this product.
