Buy The Miracle of Trees: and how they work (replaced by 9781907155703) by Huikari, Olavi (ISBN: 9781904263791) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: a small miracle... - This is a lovely book. The science of trees is pretty complex but this book in twenty five sections, accompanied on the opposing leaf by some beautiful illustrations, just about breaks it down to an understandable level. There is a great logic in the 'bite-size' page by page journey through how a tree functions. It is only 60 pages and all the illustrations are black and white but this is still worth the money (as are a number of the wooden books publications). Maybe for someone with a wide knowledge of tree biology this book might not be for them but for the 'layman' it contains pretty much everything you need to know in an artistically set way. It as much a work of art as a science book. Fantastic! Review: Lovely - I love all of the Wooden Gift Books. They are so much more than that, each a little gem opening up a world of wonder and making you look at things differently.

Its a BIG little book full of amazing facts strongly recommended for its clear explanation of the chemistry, biology and character of trees.
