As a single mom, with 3 homeschoolers-- puppy checkers was just the twist we needed. The kids were so excited to see the packaging. My 8 year read the instructions to his little brother with so much enthusiasm. We already have Name That Puppy and Name That Kitty, so this was a logical add to the collection. Best part had to be listening to my little one scream "DOG ME!!!" LOLOLOL Priceless!!

I bought this as a hopeful alternative to screen time and my kids absolutely love it. When it used to be requests for the tv or ipad, it's now 'WE WANT PUPPIES!!!'. I'm more than happy to give them as long as they want with a fun game that prompts strategy instead of mindlessly watching content that reinforces a short attention span.

I've been wanting to get Checkers to play with my son who just turned 9 years old. This Puppy Checkers version was too cute to pass up, because we're both dog lovers. It's actually pretty clever too, because you don't need to stack pieces to king but just flip over the piece. And the board is labeled with Dog Me in red on one side and black on the other, so it's easier to keep track of the direction in the game.This is a classic game and is easy to learn. But, since I haven't played it in a while I needed a little refresher. My son has been learning Chess and asked me if you have to jump. I thought so, but when I checked the rules included with the game that wasn't mentioned and made it sound like more of a choice. I needed to look up Checkers rules online and found that jumps are mandatory. I guess you could play it either way, but I think the game rules should be more clearly written.The other thing that was a little annoying with this is that you have to apply all the stickers yourself. I did this while watching T.V., and the red sheet went pretty easily. I just needed to line them up so they didn't go over the edges of the indent. I had more trouble with the black sheet because two of the dog stickers are out of order, and I wasn't paying close enough attention to notice the pattern change. So, all of a sudden I noticed that I had puppies and dogs that weren't matching and had to correct it. Not a huge deal, but this definitely could have been made more user friendly.I still recommend the game. It's a fun twist on a classic. The board and pieces are well made, and I appreciate that there are extra stickers.

Got this for my kids who love dogs. We’ve been playing our regular checkers for a bit, this seemed like a good addition. There are so many different dogs haha- it changed my kids strategy because they don’t want the chihuahua to go out. Fun! Dog me!

I bought this because my in laws and my nephew were visiting for Easter and it looked fun. They opened it up and played for a while and seemed like they had a great time. Added more fun compared to old chekers

Such a fun and creative spin on a classic. My daughter is a complete dog lover so this is a favorite!
