Bought this when it was on offer. Reviews were decent and I was delighted with the price. Wasn't expecting a lot tbh. We have been pleasantly surprised. When we first used it, my wife and I both remarked that it felt cheap and flimsy. However, after more than half a dozen cuts, it has won us over. We now think it's a great little lawnmower. Grass always looks smart and it is light enough to make mowing not feel like too much hard work. Would definitely consider buying again for the right price.

Superb mower, cut my grass ( about 9 inches high and wet ) very easily. I have an uneven lawn, that's not flat and level, and it coped with ease. Easy to assemble.

Smaller than my old Qualcast which lasted 20 years . Compact size , small grass box than I’m used . First time of using it cut great. Just hope it keeps it up. Some say cable is short , I found it was able size still needed an extension cable. Was a bit fiddly to put together. As there was no instructions. Screw missing to hold the cable holder but one was found , Great little mower at present

Putting this mower together is easy the problem is your grass has to be bone dry or the mower gets clod up you'll spend more time with it on its side clearing the blade.

What an excellent mower. Fairly heavy but very manageable. Height adjustment just great. Cuts beautifully.,Grass collection box easily detachable box and does what it says on the tin. Great value mower for the price. Powerful 1600 motor. Cannot complain about this mower. Highly recommended even for the very keen gardener

I did a fair bit of research before buying this - had had a small Bosch mower beforehand but the handle broke and so was looking for something else. I was a bit unsure at first as I had not heard of Murray much before but its make of motor provides some reassurance. I am very pleased with this mower - it's excellent. It's lightweight and so is very easy to manoeuvre. The handle is very well designed - running the width of the mower and is padded so you can grip it in any position and it's comfortable. I actually put mine on with the handle pointing down which I think makes it more comfortable and easier to use. It does mean the power cable goes cross-ways over the front but it's not a problem at all. Similarly, the stop handle is easy to keep hold of. Good choice of cutting heights and easy adjustment. Grass box holds a lot of grass and with the sides being mesh it makes it easier to empty. The only neutral (not negative) thing to say is that it hasn't got a roller so you don't get stripes if that's your thing, but the compromise is it does make it lighter without. You can get up close to walls etc. I do think that the power cable would be better being orange, as with other mowers, rather than black as it does make it harder to notice when mowing. I really like this mower, it makes mowing the lawn a bit less tedious. You won't be disappointed if you get it.

Dont get me wrong this is a great lawnmower with great motor, cutting ability and excellent added features like the multch plug which works great. However, it is let down only by lazy design on some basic fundamentals. The foam handle lasted half a lawn before it split see photo. Another material or even no material would have been better. For a lawnmower touted as covering 600m2 the 10m cable simply isn't long enough for that and on top of that there's no where to store the cable when you're done. The collection basket has a lip that should sit on the bottom of the gap where the grass is ejected but it sits about a cm above it meaning grass collects here and restricts collection so you never fill the 40l. Lastly the clip that takes the pressure off the switchbox to stop tugs on the cable can only be placed at knee level means the cable constantly gets in the way when walking. This would have gotten 5 stars with me commenting that it needs a 6th if it weren't for these annoyances.
