The media could not be loaded. First of all, I had this professionally installed because I knew it should be connected to studs. If you’re planning on connecting this to drywall, you’re making a mistake because it is sturdy, and your whole bodyweight is going to be sitting on it.I loved it as soon as I took it out of the box because the color is rich it is really polished, and the edges of it are all rounded. It comes preassembled. We had it installed at ADA requirement height.It’s extremely water repellent. The water just beats up on it. I do squeegee it off after every use. We’ve had it for three months, but I don’t anticipate the wood rotting anytime soon because we take care of it. Even if we didn’t, it is really polyurethaned to a high gloss. I bought and had this installed because my husband has arthritic knees and I wanted him to be able to shower as long as he felt like it. I didn’t realize how much I too would enjoy sitting down for my whole shower. I paid $99 for this and it was a bargain compared to similar items on Amazon, and a favorite addition to our new bathroom. If I were to install another shower stall in my house, I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to friends. Don’t hesitate to buy this as long as you’re going to have it attached correctly.

For the people that say the bench won’t stay up, there is an adjustment under the trim cover you can adjust it.

The distance between seat brackets/mounting hardware is 15”! This will not be able to mounted in any home with standard 16” on center studs!

The perfect addition to my new shower!

I purchased this mount wall bench because my shower is too small and I wanted something I didn’t have to take in and out of the shower when I needed to standing only.Unfortunately this bench doesn’t stay up against the wall. I will be taking removing and now have to replace the tiles where it was installed. Also, a tip for the consumer: make sure where the shower pipes are before purchasing this bench. Due to a small shower, there was only one wall where the bench could be installed and there were also pipes at the bottom of that wall. The bench ended up being installed higher than anticipated and it was too high for me. The bench can get slippery and I had to tiptoe while sitting on it which made it more difficult for me to sit on it.
