Q: How breathable? Is this suitable for those who hate to sweat and have thermoregulation issues (e.g. thyroid problems and/or hot flushes)

It is comfortable to wear . Not caus8 g you to be over warm. I lauer mine with other clothes so I am warm. Would use on own if you feel more comfortable.

Q: What temperature and cycle wash does it take?

I generally put it in a 30 min wash at 30 degrees

Q: does anyone know please how high the collar is on the black zipped version as it looks much higher than the navy one? Thanks.

I bought this top as I don't like anything high around my neck. It fits comfortably around the lower neck. But definitely doesn't come high.
