Modern Granny Stitch Crochet: Make clothes and accessories using the granny stitch

This is a marvellous book. Very well laid out. Simple instructions. Good choice of sizes from XS to 4 XL. Various yarns used, but tells you the yarn thickness, i.e. DK or 4 ply. English crochet terms. The patterns are luscious!

Thid is an incredible book. Lovely illustration and so easy to follow.

I’m glad it’s written in uk terms. Though most crafters seem to reside in the states. I will get stuck in and will write another review when I actually complete a project. In terms of the book and initial thoughts most of the projects look within my scope and I can’t wait to get cracking.

I'm in the UK, but to be honest, I have been crocheting long enough to be happy with UK or US terminology. This book is UK.I love as few as seams as possible, and the two jumpers I have made have been top down. Hooray!As always, some of the yarn is hard to source, which is a constant challenge when buying books.But I find the patterns easy to follow, and I have actually worn the items I've made! Success!

Present for my Granddaughter. She really liked it. She was pleased it gave you lots of measurements in the book. Success!!

Good reference book

I have been waiting for this book. And finally got the guts to buy thinking some of the projects the author has in youtube would be there. Some of them are. But not the interesting ones. One hat. Two scarfs and a few vest tops. I wanted to learn more about the granny stitch jumpers and how to adapt sleeves and work on yokes etc. the book has disappointed me. Maybe the good projects have been saved for Etsy. 😳

Loved the patterns and easier to use than ipatterns. Wish they were in American crochet language.

This book is full of useful and pretty patterns

Full instructions to make lovely designs and many tips. I am used to US patterns but I had no issues making the garments, the graphs help a lot besides, the basic stitches are so repetitive that you get used quickly.
