You have to literally have it directly on you constantly to feel air coming through. I had a regular fan and this device in the same room running. I could not feel any difference in the temperature from the regular fan versus this device. It's super weak even in high. I did not attempt with batteries. It ran hot on the plug in port, which isn't provided. The cord is super short requiring you to either have a high outlet or run it off extention cord. Not worth the money.

It is a small unit so only cools a small area, that is what it is designed for. I have it plugged into my car to cool off my 4 year old who doesn't get the air from my car. He is much cooler in our desert climate now.I had to use a hot glue gun to seal the edges because it leaks like crazy and I am too hot and tired to take it back.I love that it comes on when the car does, I have it plugged into the car outlet.

Bought this for my very tiny bedroom and it's worthless. I literally have to put it on the edge of my night stand and sleep with my face about a foot away. The company recommends you sit directly in front of it. They don't tell you that here but in the owners manual. I have put ice in it thinking it would get cooler but it doesn't. It's basically a fan. I would not recomend this to anyone

Most reviews are for the tall black fan. I bought the little white one. It's smaller than I imagined. Holds about 1.5 cups of water. I get really hot at night. In the summer I usually sleep with the ceiling fan on and the window open if it's cool outside. But when it's hot outside, it gets really warm in my room, even with the air-conditioning going, so I though this little gadget might help cool the room down. It really didn't. I ran it all night and when I woke up the temperature in the room felt the same as it usually does. Cool air does come out of the vent, but maybe it's just too small to do the job. I don't know what kind of room it would even help with. And it's not quiet.

So it took me a while to write this review because everything was going fine. After the fourth use it literally leaked all the water. The water was coming out and it wouldn't stop. It was so bad the water ran all the way to my bed. Do not buy this product is faulty!!!

I was skeptical at first but totally worth it. I used it in the kitchen when I was cooking and it helped keep me cool.
