STAR WARS The Last Jedi Porg Electronic Plush Doll

This annoying yet simultaneously cute critter makes noises (loudly!), flaps its wing, and waddles across the floor!Press the tummy of this Porg and he'll come to life. My daughter loves this toy and finds it highly amusing to see it scuttling through the dining room while making that shrill Porg sound and flapping his wings.The construction quality of this is okay without being astounding, you can feel the mechanism under the baggy "skin" of the the Porg, but when it's actually moving it looks fine. The colours look bang on and it captures that guinea-pig/penguin look from the film. There's no volume control, this is constantly on LOUD which can be a bit annoying but I guess the Porg on planet Ahch-To were also quite loud too!Initially this was on sale for £50 which is very steep for something which has limited play value and not detailed enough to be a great display piece. It's less than half of that now which makes it much more reasonable and it make my Star Wars obsessed daughter grin when she first saw it.In a nutshell: Not the greatest, but far from being poor. This moves around and will make Star Wars fans laugh as they chase their very own Porg around the room. Whatever your thoughts on the film, this is cute - resistance is futile (oh wait, that's Borg, not Porg).

The media could not be loaded.  ============= REASON FOR BUYING =============I am a Force Freak, and saw this on pre-order before the movie relese so went for one.============= PRICE =============It seems I got in at a good price of under 25GBP. which is a little steep but seeing the current price I am thinking I got off lightly============= WHAT YOU GET =============Packaging - The porg arrives in a nice open display box (which is an absolute pain to remove!)One PorgBATTERIES SUPPLIED!============= REMOVING THE PORG =============As you know Star Wars items hold the value when kept in the packaging. You need to remove the tape from either side of the front of the packaging. once you do this you can open the packaging and see the horrible way this items is fastened to the box. There's basically a cats cradles of string that you need to unwind, then remove from around the feet.once you remove the string from the feet, you will notice a loop on the back of the porg where the string is fastened, you must pull the string out in order to release the porg.If you don't care about the packaging, just rip it open and snip the string, however if you want to keep this intact prepare to spend a few minutes undoing it.============= WHAT IT DOES =============It arrives boxed up ni one of 3 modes. On, Off and TEST.Now, the TEST mode is ON when you buy this, which means that this little fella will constantly turn on if travelling with it (my friend came through UK customs with one going off).The issue is the button to turn it off is hidden behind the packaging so it's not possible to do this without removing the packaging (not easy)Pressing the tummy area makes the Porg make the cutest sounds and move forward whilst flapping it's wings, this is really fun at first but after a few hours can get quite annoying!============= CONCLUSION =============This toy is loveable from the cuteness factor, but aside from that and the Star Wars angle, there's nothing else remotely unique about this toy. I only have it for the Star wars link and the fact that I am sad, so make up your own mind on this one. As it's mechanical there's not one part of the body that's permeable.

I have been waiting for this little guy to drop in price. As adorable as he looks, I didn't want to be paying nearly £40 for him when he was first released. Happy I waited, got him at a bargain.For those who didn't check, like this dweeb until they got batteries, your Porg is already equipped with them. So you can unbox him straight away.He moves well across carpeted floors, laminated and wood. The noises are so cute and the little wig arms are precious. Soft and just so adorable. The cats aren't fans but the husband loves him just as much as me.Ideal for Star Wars fans of any age who love Porg. And how can you not love them?!

My daughter received this for Christmas and he (now named Chicken because Roast Porg looks like Roast Chicken) has become part of the family - they are inseparable. She screamed in delight as soon as she saw him! He works brilliantly and is hilarious she is 10, a Star Wars obsessor and easily amused and her and my 3-year-old nephew get literal hours of amusement out the little guy! Would highly recommend!!!

Absolutely fantastic item. My son adores it. It is so funny the way it walks and talks. Would highly recommend.
