Payment Card Industry Professional: PCIP Certification 320 Practice Questions and Exercises Paperback – July 27, 2017

First, a complaint:1. Typos, Inaccurate AnswersThere were a small number of typos, which were a bit distracting. And there were 1 or 2 questions which I believe the book got wrong.Now the praise:1. ValueI might not have been willing to pay more than $40 to buy this book, but knowing what I know now, I'd pay $100...maybe more.2. ApproachI kinda wish the questions in this book were exactly the same as the certification exam...but they weren't. However, these sample questions did change my focus on things that I would have assumed would not appear on the exam. For example, I learned I needed to memorize the 6 Goals and 12 Requirements, and about 5 other specific, important sub requirements (e.g. 3.4). In usual "dump sheet" form, you don't have to write down the 6 Goals and 12 Requirements word for word, but having a summarized version of these in front of me during the exam was very helpful. The way the practice exam asked the questions was close enough to the certification exam that it really helped.3. Supplement OnlyI did pay for the online PCIP training course, and supplemented that with this book. You can't get this book instead of the PCIP training, in my opinion. (Individual opinions on this will vary.)4. Tough LoveI was initially annoyed when the answer explanation referred me to a PCI publication or resource to go find your own explanation for the right answer, but eventually I was glad it forced me to increase my familiarity with those resources.5. Don't write in the bookI was fortunate enough to think of not writing in the book before I started taking the practice exams, so I was able to take the practice exams several times each. For anything I got wrong, I was able to do more research and study of that topic., then retake the entire exam. Before I went in for the actual certification exam, I could do all 3 practice exams at 100% correct, with confidence. I think this was also helpful.6. When I have to recertify on PCIP 4.0, Linda Jones will sell another bookI am assuming Linda will write another practice questions book...Good Luck!

Thanks to the book, i got pcip certification. This book gives more knowledge than the actual pci dss documentation. The questions were well defined.

In addition to the errors mentioned in a previous comment. I believe there is a typo in Exam 2 Q 49.reads "by a PA-QSA to attest to the results of a PCI-DSS assessment."should read " PA-QSA to attest to the results of a PA-DSS assessment."There is a big difference between a PCI DSS and PA DSS assessment.

The testing procedures and even after taking the official course it didn’t provide much practical application of the material. The book fills in the gaps wonderfully.

This book is a must have if you are preparing for the PCIP certification. The questions were very good and covered a wide area and questions are so hard to find. I passed the exam today

Fun to do the quizzes, great descriptions and explanations

The book is very basic. There are no other books with PCIP practice exams so this is helpful. However, there are some repetitive questions and wrong answers in this book. E.g. Exam 1 question 38, the correct asnwer should be a, not b. Also Exam 2 question 37, the correct answer is d, not b.

This book is a great companion for PCIP preparation. Questions were really good. Highly recommended.

This book is a must for anyone wanting to study the pcip exam. Unfortunately, there’s no apps or questions to test your knowledge and understanding, so this book is a godsend!
