Cool Kids Cook: A fun and easy cookbook packed with achievable dishes for aspiring young chefs

Really glad we found this book for our 8 yr old- he loves it as does 6yr old sister. Lovely recipes (with variations) and tips and enough pictures. Was more difficult than I thought it would be to find a cook book that was 'grown up' enough for 8yr old but not gimmicky (all smoothies for example) or too sweet-oriented or too American (sometimes ingredients or measurements don't translate perfectly) or too home-grown (home-grown is lovely but I can't even pretend to be that person!) Super glad we found this one as it's even better than what I'd had I mind.

Fantastic cook book for kids. My 11 year old loves cooking once a week from this book. The recipes are easy to follow, I also like that there are options to change the flavour of the recipe instead of making it the same each time. The desert section could be a bit better but can’t fault the savoury section.

Perfect for enthusiastic 8yr old grandson

A really excellent cookbook for ages 7 and up. My 9 year old daughter has thoroughly enjoyed working her way through this and it has now become a Sunday night tradition for her to make the family supper. I'm still hovering in the background but she has grown massively in confidence and will soon be able to cook unaided while I have a well deserved break! Another thing to mention is the quality of the recipes. They are a cut above the usual, with lovely taste notes, a great use of herbs and spices and means that the food created is far superior than the average food science fare. All in all a must have for any parent!

Purchased for my niece and she loves it. Easy to follow and a wide range of recipes inside. She’s enjoying picking things to Cook with her mum from it.

Not for the younger age range as language is quite high level. Some recipes are complex. But...recipes do give the option of varying the outcomes using base ingredients and method.

Great photos and recipes. Step by step instructions. Really nice book to look through with ideas where to take recipes onto next. Adults and kids alike (11 & 14) thought it was an excellent book.
