Surya Nature Henna Burgundy Cream - 2.37 Ounce

I love Surya! I enjoy knowing that I can safely color hair without the harsh chemicals & CRUELTY FREE! EASY TO APPLY! I have naturally blonde hair with a few highlights & a few grays (silver sparklers). This leaves a nice ginger-blonde behind & covers most grays for about 2-4 weeks. The color stays in the rest of my hair a while longer. I used to mix Light Blonde & Golden Blonde, but I stopped the Golden because it was getting a little too gold. The Henna takes a while to sink in & show itself. Looks better & richer color next day! My hair is SO shiny & smooth after. Shampoo well BEFORE & only rinse with water after, no shampoo. Even next day, just water. I have long hair & I use 3/4 of the bottle. I dab some on my eyebrows, but be careful when rinsing. After putting bag on, put a towel over & occasionally add a little heat. I leave it on longer than they say. It is VERY easy to use & I do it every month, which is still a million times cheaper than a salon! & safer than conventional color. *The photos show the next day after using Light Blonde. p.s. I like Light Blonde better than Swedish, Swedish gets too gold.

I pretty much love the results of Surya Henna. I have used various brands in the past, and have done a healthy amount of research on henna, botanical hair coloring, safety, etc...I bleach my hair in the summer, when I get bored I henna. My natural color is nearly black (but truly just dark brown), so I started with about a years worth of highlights with dark roots. I purchased Natural Mountain Henna in Burgundy and layered henna on damp hair, since my hair was damp I don't think I got much in the way of concentration, but it did deepen my highlights to a dark blonde, with heavy ash (green tones)...clearly the indigo which did become muted once the henna oxidized. I knew that I wanted to go darker, but didn't want to repeat with the same brand so I stepped out on a limb and tried Surya. Great results!! I feel like I have a great fall color and am even considering using the RED, after reading another review. I waited about a week before I felt like I wanted to commit...and then ordered Surya.The color swatches on the side of the box match the results (exactly) on my hair....1) This is not pure henna, it does have some chemicals and FDA colors, on EWG when I checked this rated at a 4 for toxicity on a scale of 1 to 10 - Keeping in mind that food coloring, etc.. that we eat would likely rate higher (though I wouldn't eat this)2) This is semi-permanent, which tells me that it will fade and I am okay with that because the stuff is luxurious out of the box.3) It is packed with really great ingredients that make you feel good about using it and my hair after using it felt very soft and was wicked shiny.Overall the color is really fabulous - if they could find a way to remove all chemicals that in my mind would be significantly better and hence I deducted a star. I am definitely going to order this again.Update: As most have said the color did fade within a month or so, but certainly not back to the bleached blond hair I had.I've added a photo which shows about two days oxidation. I intentionally left the front section blond with neutral henna only coating that section.I'm likely going to try some other brands because of a few of the chemicals.

My grey hair coming in was unfortunately making my formerly medium blond hair more and more mousy. I tried about a third of a bottle on the greyest parts and noticed subtle brighter highlights. I hadn't wanted anything drastic-just a little less dowdy color so I was happy using it that way about every month for a year or so. Lately I've been using it weekly on all my hair (half bottle) and my hair keeps getting a little brighter and more blond looking with each use. I only leave it on about 20 minutes but i rinse it out with cool water so I don't strip the color. My hair still looks totally natural with varied colors like natural hair has; its just more blond. I have no problem with roots ever looking different. It also makes hair softer and healthier looking. I tried the Light Blond color and it went more brown on my hair. Swedish blond is my favorite at turning grey into subtle blond highlights.

Henna is the best! It's healthy for your hair, doesn't strip your strands and as it fades, your hair just returns to its normal shade (with a little tint). I started going grey at 19 and ended up hating conventional color treatments because they killed my hair. Henna coats the outside of the strand, so my hair is noticeably shinier and fuller. The color is rich and covers grey well. I still see the color fade on the grey strands first, just like conventional color. For removing henna, I've found that repeated olive oil masks work best. It can be difficult to remove entirely, but the shades are so natural and gleaming, why would you want to?

This brand of cream henna is awesome! It covers the grays for approximately 3-4 weeks, strengthen & conditions hair. I use 1 wk after relaxing, then use every 3-4 weeks. It helps stretch my relaxer treatments to 8-12 wks. Easy to use at home. No smell & premixed cream blend, I use for 1.5-2 hrs for deep rich burgundy color over my dark brown hair. Does not stain scalp, slowly fades afters 3-4 wks. During fading, gray hair looks like bronze highlights. Product can be found at your local Whole Foods & Vitamin Shoppe as well as Amazon

J'utilise ce henné depuis plusieurs mois, il est parfait niveau couleurs et surtout très facile d'application. Prévoir tout de même un pinceau pour bien prendre tous les cheveux.Un point à ne pas négliger: prévoir deux flacons à partir de cheveux mi longs car le flacon est relativement petit...
