PondXpert Mighty Mite Pond Pumps (1000 Litres Per Hour)

Great pump and perfect for my pond of about 3,000 litres. The pump sits on the bottom of the pond and lifts (1.5 metres) the water to the pond filter assembly where gravity takes it back to the pond. Easy to clean and the previous exact same pump lasted over six years of continuous use.

This has been working for the last three months in my pond, driving my filter. No issues, and I have put it into a pond sack to stop it from ingesting my tadpoles. Louse seems to go through it live and into the filter.No problems, it is decent price, and I have not yet cleaned it.

Nothing to dislike. Very easy to connect, very easy to clean and is used with equipment already installed (small fountain). Fish love it.

Had this in for a couple of weeks. Runs 24/7 no problem thus far. My pond is 4500 litres and is crystal clear so all components working well together. Very pleased.

Only been running this for a few days but seems good for what I needed, running a little waterfall in a small pond. Bit of a panic buy after my last pump died.The pump is actually a lot smaller as the picture shows the cage in which the pump sits. The cage is quite chunky, not sure it needs to be that big but you can easily use the pump without it.Finding there was no plug on the power cable was a pain and delayed setup as I needed to go and buy one.ProsGood strong pump for the priceNegativesThere is no plug on the power cable so you need to buy a plug and fit it. Who makes items without a plug!!!No variable flow

I needed a new pump for my small garden pond, which has just a few fish and a filter which runs into a waterfall. I researched several makes of pump and decided upon the Mighty Mite. It arrived quickly, and is simple to open/close the outer frame around the pump (when it needs cleaning). It came with several adapters for different size hoses. It was easy to connect to the main hose and straightforward to wire to the pump switch. It works a treat. It is quiet and not too large in the pond. As I only have a small pond, I chose the 1000 version and this is absolutely adequate and pumps the water effortlessly through the filter and into the waterfall. My main advice for choosing a pump is make to sure that you research the volume of water in your pond and what you want to pump through your filter, bearing in mind that the actual amount pumped is always a bit less than quoted when you take into account the height of a waterfall and the length of the hose etc. For me, the 1000 was fine and I would recommend the Mighty Mite.
