The Hobby Company Italeri 2667S Plastic Model Kit F-14 A Tomcat Scale

This kit is old however compared to some other large scale tomcat kits I feel this one is nearly as good as Tamiyas for half the price , yes some of the techniques are dated however it doesn’t have to be super advanced like Tamiya to have a decent looking kit by the end , out of the box detail is pretty decent , the cockpit has a few details missing however looks good when painted due to the raised details All in all really good kit and definitely will build another

great plane for size

After searching everywhere without much luck for a reasonably priced Large scale F-14 Tomcat Kit for my TopGun obsessed Bro-in-law's Christmas present. I found this Italeri kit. It's quite a reasonable price for such a large kit. From past experience back in the days when i was in shorts I always found that Italeri although no where near as good as Tamiya or Hasegawa products was a better quality kit than airfix but I was always Disapointed with one thing they never gave pilots. No change here; the box states figures not included >:-(. So It looks like my Bro-in-law will not have Maverick or Mother Goose sitting in his F-14, but I'm sure he won't have many sleepless nights over it. The Box is surprisingly small for such a large kit. So there will be a lack of a wow factor when he removes the wrapping paper, but hey if you are buying it for yourself who cares. to summarise: A well priced large, quality kit, with a not so large box and pilots gone AWOL

I did read most of the reviews about this model plane and very few said the parts were warped, yet most reviews give it a good score, well they must have been fortunate with the kit they got, so I decided to try it as it couldn't be that bad .... surely.... well it was for me I've been making model aircraft since I was in my teens on and off, but this one takes the biscuit, the fuselage plastic is very thin and it is warped the locating holes don't match up, you can get the back end of the plane right but the other end opens up it's a bit like a see saw, when eventually you get the front to stay in shape the wings won't swing back, I've just thrown the model in the bin and said sod it, mind you, what can you expect for £29.99, Don't waste your money, buy a decent make........

Shocking! I realise that this is an old mould and a cheaper option than other kits, but the fit is truly dreadful! It goes together easily enough and the surface detail is OK for its age, but you will end up with a kit that is more filler than plastic! It's covered with flash and the fit is so poor that you will end up using half a tube of filler just to get something half decent looking! The instructions are terrible, mins-numbered to the point that you might as well write them off and have a crack at doing it by sight alone! Do yourself a favour, spend a little extra on a better brand or I guarantee you that your blood pressure will go through the roof trying to get this kit right!

Fairly average. Came out ok. Instructions arent the best. The mechanism to connect the wings broke instantly. Main fuselage warped badly. Lack of detail to seats and a few other areas.

Waste of money due to a lot of warped parts wouldn't recommend at all

I like the choice of 3 sets of decals and it looks nicely moulded. No complaints, and it’s half of the price if similar kits by other manufacturers.

あくまでも個人的な感想ですが、スジボリも太いしパネルラインもなんか変ですがパーツの合もそれほど悪くないし機首もスマートな感じです、よく縮尺が違うとかデフォルメがキツイとか耳にしますがカッコ良く見えるモデルと言うのも大事なことだと思います、そんな感じのキットです
