As an old man, you can get away with certain things that wouldn't have been acceptable just a few years ago. One of these things is accepted dress around the house. To be specific, boxers and shirts have become my answer to casual dress. It's wonderfully freeing, and truthfully, I don't care anyway. It's mostly family, and being old means they pretty much gotta be nice to me. But I'm a reasonable man. When daughter in laws visit, granddaughters, nieces, good neighbors, close friends, even I became a little uncomfortable and felt under-dressed. As I was passing through Amazon's "Book of Life" (their website), I virtually tripped on a page with pictures of robes on it, and thus began a new chapter in my life, "Boxers in Perpetuity". This was the first robe I bought. I wanted the robe be lightweight, to be of the appropriate length, good material, and something that would be acceptable to all involved (me mostly, though). First, you about can't go wrong with old Ralph's clothing line. I've been a long time fan, and this robe didn't disappoint. Everything I wanted in a robe this one had: very comfortable, about mid-calf length so it provided the required cover. Soft, nice material, and with the belt cinched I could answer the front door to anyone: delivery drivers, neighbors, Mormons, anybody. If you need a quality robe, well made and meets the needs you have for a robe, buy this one. Of course, the added bonus is that it looks sharp, which is expected of Lauren products. I get compliments on it! Where once were disapproving looks, there now were compliments! Buy one for your father or grandfather or husband. Buy more than one. I did. Hope this helps ya. Ol' Joe
