Perfect with a few tweaks; 16 months later-still satisfied
I bought the mini pouch about 7 months ago and have used it 2-5 x/day for training a young Rottie. Have had no issues with the quality/function of the spring hinge. It’s the perfect size for puppy or beginning adult dog training when sessions are short, and you don’t need to carry a lot of treats. I did have to tweak it a bit though.First, if you’re doing leash training, you’ll typically have the bulk of the lead in your right hand with left hand free to reward behavior. Because the hinge is so strong, there’s no way to open the pouch with 1 hand if the pouch accidentally snaps shut during a session (and it will). I resolved this by placing a small, thick, strong magnet on the corner hinge inside so it can’t close so tightly. Now there’s enough of a gap so I can slide a couple fingers from 1 hand in to open it back up.Second, inside the pouch there’s a center flap that makes a nice divider between the routine rewards like kibble and the high value treats like chicken or hot dog slices for when your dog does something really special. But, because the flap has a Velcro strip on it which grabs on to one side of the inner pouch, it automatically seals one side of treats open and the other side closed. Again, it’s impossible to open the flap quickly to get to a different value treat using only 1 free hand. I resolved this issue by taking a small, 1 sided piece of Velcro and attaching it to the flap’s Velcro tab. Now it can’t grab the side of the inner pouch and seal itself. I can flip the center divider back and forth with a finger, at will, depending on which value treat I want to offer.I just bought the standard sized pouch because my 110 lb. Rottie, while still young, is ready for longer training sessions; I need to carry more treats than would fit in the mini pouch. My only complaint with this new standard pouch is that the center divider flap only comes halfway up which makes no sense to me. If you fill each side with different value treats, the flap is too low to keep them separated from each other. I’ll need to figure out a tweak for this. Both pouches are washable, but I handwash and hang to dry quickly to keep the hinge from rusting. You could just dump kibble on one side and a handful of perishable treats on the other and it won’t leak, but then you’ll have to store the pouch in the fridge to prevent bacterial growth between sessions. I use a snack bag in the mini and a sandwich sized bag in the standard for messy treats. At the end of each session I pull the bag, seal it, and throw it in the freezer until next time. Cuts down on washing. Both pouches come with a really well-made belt and clip. I haven’t used the clip, but the belt is so smooth that with your free hand, you can easily slide the pouch from your left hip to your center back. In this position, even with the pouch propped open, I’ve never had anything fall out if I needed to bend down to tie a shoe lace, point out a treat that fell to the ground, or sit down to take a break.Neither pouch is suited for carrying with you your phone, keys, poop bags etc. There’s just enough room for treats. I dug out an old fanny pack retired years ago due to vanity issues and cut the belt off. I attached small portions of the belt to make loops on the back of the fanny pack and slid it onto the generous belt that comes with the pouches. Voila! Now, if we’re doing trails, I can carry supplies on my right hip and treats in a pouch on my left (and it doesn’t present as a fanny pouch anymore!). If we’re not doing trails, it slides off until needed again.I highly recommend either/both pouches. The tweaks didn’t take much time. I doubt there’s a pouch out there that will be perfect in every way. These pouches come close. Today is 11/11/21. FYI, I bought this treat pouch back in July 2020. Have been training with it every day, a minimum 1x/day since then and the hinge is still going strong.

My Go-To Treat Bag for 10+ Years
This is my third PetSafe treat pouch. I've been using them for more than 10 years. I've tried lots of different kinds of treat bags, always coming back to this one. Here's what I like:**SPRING OPENING -- The spring hinges are easy to pop open, keep the bag open and snap shut with just a nudge. I love this metal hinge. It keeps the bag open so I can reach in and reward my do timely, without fumbling. It also closes with a light finger touch. This is really helpful when you are juggling treats, a leash and other gear while also wanting to close the bag.**Durable -- Yes, this is my third bag. After about three years of daily use, the hinge comes apart or the metal closure breaks. I'd say that's excellent durability. The rugged canvas material doesn't fray, unravel or easily stain. I've never had a failure of the plastic clip on the belt or any problems with the lined pocket interiors coming apart. The only thing I would change to make this reliable pouch even better is if it were just a bit larger. I carry extra poop bags, keys, hair clips and cell phone. Though this bag has several storage pockets, if you fill it with treats there really isn't enough room for keys or cell phone. I end up hanging stuff off the bag or stuffing in my pants pockets.Still, overall I always come back to this treat bag. Using it daily, my PetSafe treat bag gets a workout and performs very well. I highly recommend this bag.

perfect for what I need
This little bag certainly does make training exercises a lot easier. I've tried a little plastic bag and it slowed things down far too much. I'm very glad that I bought this bag.

Love this thing
This pouch was a game changer for me. I went from having a baggie in my pocket to this sturdy little pouch that stays open by itself. Love it. My dog gets excited whenever she sees me take it out :)

It’s a good treat pouch—I just wish it came in bigger sizes
I really like this training pouch. Especially the divider inside that can separate high value treats from low value treats. My big issue with my last treat pouch was having to keep the treats separated in bags and having to fumble to switch between the bags during training sessions. It’s ideal to be able to treat the dog quickly without all the fuss.I thought this bag would then be the solution to my problems but I find it just doesn’t have as much capacity as I would have preferred. For long training sessions or trips I’ll have to bring an extra bag to restock this training pouch. I separate my puppy’s food into 3 meals that I give to him gradually throughout the day. Unfortunately, this bag doesn’t even have enough room to hold one meal and have room to put high value treats in the other side of the divider. If you’re training your dog for service work like I am (or just use a lot of treats for any other reason) be aware of that. This bag alone isn’t going to be enough in those cases but that’s not necessarily bad especially for people who don’t need that many treats. It still does a really good job of keeping treats separate—as long as you don’t overfill it—and the clasping mechanism is my favorite when compared to magnetic, Velcro, or drawstring closures. It makes the treats quickly accessible, it’s not bulky, and it’s easy to close with just one hand. Overall, great treat pouch. I will definitely be using it and would gladly buy a bigger one from them if they ever decide to make one.

Closure
I bought one several years ago and finally needed a new one. Bought this again and 5 months ago it the closure is already not working.

Comodo, leggero, capiente e resistente
Molto comodo, il laccio per legare il marsupio in vita si allarga molto, il il marsupio in sé è molto leggero e l'apertura all'inizio è un po rigida, con il tempo si allenta un pochino. Articolo ben fatto e molto resistente.

I like the spring opening.
These are great for treats and ability to keep them open with the hinges style opening. They don’t last too long but the hinge feature is harder and harder to find. Durable fabric.

I liked the fact that it has two compartments for less and higher value kibble/treats. What disappointed me is that I only had this for not quite 1 month when a piece of the metal hinge (a middle section) broke off and into the treat mixture. Comparison photos show the middle piece missing from the brkn hinge compared to the opposite side’s hinge as whole and unbrkn. The hinge system works to keep and hold the pouch open as you reach and continuous feed or as needed. With a bump of your hand it closes snugly again and little to no snow or rain gets inside. It’s comfortable to wear around my waist with the wide adjustable strap. I like the design and concept, but it’s durability is lacking for sure after only 1 mth of use. Pay attn to any metal inside your pouch; my brkn piece is sharp and small and luckily I saw it before I could possibly cut myself.

Not perfect but better than others I have tried.
The big advantage of this (type of) pouch is that it sits quite flat and doesn't bounce around. I can reiterate other users in that the bi-spring opening and closing mechanism is very secure and won't let treats fallout but is still easy to access. Not really a gripe but I use the front pouch for poo bags - my poo bags are just a wee bit too big for the velcro to fasten easily (like when you're on the beach, the wind is blowing, your nose is running, you've lost sight of the dogs in the dark, the lead is falling out of your pocket into the poo and you are struggling to remove just one bag without them all blowing away) As I say that's not the bags fault; I should really look for a poo bag dispenser or smaller bags or something.I use the central divider in the rear pouch to hold different treats, only problem is that it is the smaller of the two compartments that is secured; makes it difficult to secure with larger 'end of walks' type treats.I'd still get another one if anything happened to this one over another brand also advertised on Amazon because this one appears better made.
